As a former employee that worked extremely hard and did my job with one of the best performances. I sadly have to say that the treatment here at Popeyes in Bastrop Louisiana from the store manager down to the assistant managers was very disheartening. The head store manager Yolanda was very nasty, rude, unprofessional, and malicious. Her response to me leaving Popeyes after finding a better suitable job that fit my children's lives was to ask my new employer did I work there; he responded yes; and he then said that Yolanda and her assistant manager started to laugh. He said he asked her what was funny and then said she stated "nothing just watch your cameras on night shift" . He then asked her what did she mean by that and said she stated "oh nothing just watch your cameras at night". He brought this to my attention letting me know exactly how the conversation went and how unprofessional, petty and immature she was to behave in such a manner to insinuate that I am a thief. When I have never had a short register never stole anything nor was ever caught stealing anything. My new manager said he will gladly talk to the boss over Yolanda to voice this very serious matter because this is wrong. There are so many more victims to this type of distasteful treatment. I advise for no one looking for a dependable job to apply to this Popeyes here in Bastrop la as long as this woman is over this store they will hang up in your face and refuse to give you your paystubs and refuse to give you the head boss named mailissa's number to contact her. Yolanda allows all of her managers to let the employees take food home on nights that's left over. She lets her employees that she sees outside of work eat without paying and talk on their phones while on the clock including not holding them accountable to their duties on the job. So much unfair treatment here in this place and I'm glad that I was finally able to leave...
Read moreI have stop at this location many times as I pass through Bastrop and have had excellent service every time. Covid has closed the dining room option and the popularity of Popeye's chicken is very evident do to the long lines of cars in the drive thru. I am a traveler from Wisconsin and every chance I have to pick up Popeyes chicken I use it. I don't have one in my home town so have to get KFC or a local brand of chicken but known are spicy. I did ask one day at KFC if they had spicy chicken and the girl said no and no one around here sells it. I said we need a Popeyes and she replied if we had Popeyes, KFC would be closed. I don't wish for KFC to close but sure do wish Popeyes would come to La...

I sat at the drive thru for 3 minutes and no one took my order so pulled around to the window and noticed all the employees were huddled around talking and when someone finally took my order I was missing my fries, cold slaw, biscuit, and my chicken tenders were original instead of spicy. Alot of people have been complaining about that place. DO THE MANAGEMENT EVEN CARES.? the food and service is horrible. Thanks for a terrible...
