My husband, daughter, and I decided to take a 30 minute drive to see how this location was doing. I've been here many times since they opened, but not in several years at least; when they first opened, it was a great place to go, but they declined over time. I decided to give them another shot, and I was really hoping it was gonna be solid. It's an interesting space on approach, but the atmosphere is like an updated honky tonk, everything is clean, including the bathrooms, multiple TV's with various shows playing, and the space is perfect for having a cold beer and decent steak. We ordered ribeyes, fried shrimp, green beans, fried okra, mashed potatoes, and mac n cheese between the three of us. We ordered our steak rare, and it definitely came that way... had a good char and flavor... but it wasn't the best cut of ribeye, and was pretty difficult to cut. Forget about eating the fat, it was tough as wood. The sides were served in separate bowls, and were just basic. There was nothing to make this food stand out from other places, nothing to make it special and worth the drive. I could basically get the same thing at Chili's. The shrimp was way overcooked and the mashed potatoes were bland. My 8 year old daughter loves shrimp, but she could barely chew through these. I'll repeat, I really wanted to give this space 5 stars, but the food wasn't special. I'm giving 4 stars, because of how clean it was, the chill atmosphere, and the staff. While we were there, someone had a medical emergency and EMS had to be called. The staff was very kind and attentive to that family and cared for them so well. Update your menu, find a passion for cooking, and give us a space that we need, a space with good food that can be shared with friends and family. I'm...

My boyfriend and I came here on a Friday night around 8 PM for a date night. We were sat immediately and received drinks and appetizers within 15 minutes. We ordered the curly fries and queso. However, it was down hill from there.
We both ordered our food late and waited about 30-45 min just for the waitress to come back and say that the restaurant didn't have either of what we ordered. My bf originally ordered chicken strips and I ordered a steak bowl. Then as we try to reorder we learn that the restaurant didnt have anything in stock besides burgers and shrimp. So we reordered and I asked for Tortilla chips to hold us over until dinner arrived (which we were later charged for).
Boyfriend gets his burger and about 5 min later the waitress says, "I'm sorry for the confusion we actually do have your steak bowl" and serves my original order.
We both eat and my steak was overcooked and dry. The asparagus and red potatoes were good.
Once we were done, I reviewed the ticket and noticed we were charged $17.99 , for my steak bowl which I specifically remember being $15 on the menu. When I asked about this, the waitress said I was probably looking at the kids menu. I asked for a menu and pointed it out to her. She then responds with , "oh I'm sorry management has probably changed the price without telling me". At this point, my boyfriend wants us to just leave and didn't understand why we were overcharged and charged $5 for the chips.
This place used to be a gem of a restaurant but I no longer plan on recommending it to others unless management steps up to create a better atmosphere and...
Read more2 THUMBS WAY UP!!! OVERALL REVIEW: My boyfriend and I have been here 2x (1st in the dining room and the 2nd in the saloon) both times the food was INCREDIBLE! Our waiter in the dining room was GREAT and knew the menu and drink list. We've tried the following: all of the appetizers, the salmon, chicken fried steak, chicken wings, steak and the pork chop. Everything is lite and bursts with flavors. Everything is made fresh and the plate portions are perfect and the overall environment is welcoming and perfectly designed.
Our only 1 complaint (why we give it 4 stars) is with the bartender, Stephanie, and the service in the saloon. Stephanie is nice but her mixed drinks are not good. Let me be clear, there is a FANTASTIC drink menu. I know because I have tried a few the first time I was there, but out of 5 different drinks we ordered from Stephanie, none of them were good and she could tell we didn't like them. The Moonshine Margarita was straight up lemon sour and the Mojito tasted like thick sugar water or flat sprite (took 1 sip and sent it back). Besides the drinks, the overall service was slow, and at one point we wondered what happened to her, because we hadn't seen her for quite awhile...and neither had the family across from us.
We will definitely be returning for the food but sadly, if Stephanie is the bartender, we won't be ordering any mixed...
