We went last Sunday for a birthday, party of 12, and it was my first time eating at the restaurant but some of the birthday party had been before, spoke highly of it, and they let us bring birthday cake. We received such awful service that I’ll never go back.
We sat out in their new second edition building where we had to move a space heater away from directly under our feet on the floor so we didn’t get burned or have our purses catch fire. We arrived at 1 pm and didn’t leave until 3:30 because the service was so slow due to the staff having to run into the other building during peek hours of lunch (despite sodas being self served) & they apologized a lot about it. However, it didn’t fix the fact that one of our burgers were missing items, two had items we requested be taken off, or that my burger was cold while my fries were fresh off the grill hot. We had only half our table receive food despite the order being taken all at once and we had to tell the birthday boy to eat & not wait for us. The half that received food was done eating before we recorded ours & I was hungry enough at that point that I ate the cold burger and scrapped what wasn’t supposed to be on it. We also had two people order medium rare stakes, one of the higher dollar items on the menu, only to both make jokes the stakes were so well done it was as white as them. Again, they were so hungry at that point they just ate it instead of demanding a redo.
I felt horrible that the waitress was trying her best but the kitchen was clearly not with the program that day & we gave her & the wait staff cupcakes to make her day better. $70+ dollars for the 3 people on my tab to eat (two of us only had burgers and a soda) and a lesson learned to never go back. It’s also hilarious that instead of getting new menus when they price changed, they used white out and marked up prices. We were comparing handwriting & prices between menus during one of the long waits to order as a way to...
Read moreLocation and atmosphere was great, Service on the other hand not so good. I arrived with a party of 4 and was seated immediately, but it took over 30 minutes to get our drink order. Once we got the drink order it took another 30 minutes for someone to take our order. The restaurant was busy and this was understood. The part which was difficult to swallow was we were in military uniform and there was 2 more groups of military Soldiers that came in after us and was taken care of immediately. When we thought we had someone to wait on our table it appeared as they were discussing who was suppose to wait on our table and never got it resolved. After about an hour we finally got our order in which then took another 30 minutes to prepare. We had 2 burgers, a chicken sandwich and a quesadilla, which I would assume not take to long. Our fellow Soldiers at the other table got their food and nearly finished after we received our order. Asked for the manager and the young gentleman Oakley came to our table. We were polite and described what was going on and personally, the most he could do was bring our order out to us. He never once offered to discount or give us something for the wait. Customer Service must not be top priority for this Restaurant. Additionally what is sad I have ate at their other restaurant and enjoyed the experience I had there. I also asked for the General Manager and Oakley informed me that they were on Vacation and not taking any calls. I asked him to give them my number so that they can call me. Can you believe he was going to write my name and number down with a highlighter. To this day 1 week later I have not received a call about the matter. If this is how you treat Soldiers in uniform, I'd rather eat somewhere else. I posted a picture of my mushroom burger I got, I guess they ran out of mushrooms due to it taking so long to bring...
Read moreI used to love The Roadhouse but my kids and I went a couple of weeks ago and I was highly disappointed. The waitress that took our order did ok at first. I asked her to not bring my 10 year old son's plate out first because they do that sometimes I guess so the kid doesn't throw a fit but I'm trying to teach my kid patience so he can eat with his sister and I together. She did fine on that. But then did not check back. Then I noticed she was standing at the counter playing on her phone pretty much the rest of the time we were there. No other waitress/waiter said anything to her about it. They just kept walking around her. She was not the one to bring out our food or check back in. Someone else did. The overall personality of the servers in all was just meh. The main problem though was the burger and fries I ordered. No flavor. At all. I felt like I was eating mush with toppings. I felt like being Gordon Ramsay and screaming FLAVOR!!! I had to open my burger and add salt. I think they hired a new chef because they haven't always been like that. The restrooms were clean so that was fine. The stairs walking up onto the deck into the restaurant was loose so be careful! The parking lot is also loaded with potholes.
Roadhouse has gotten a bit more expensive like everything else because of cost of living. My 10 year old ordered a kids meal. For three people (myself and my 2 kids )with one meal a kids meal I paid $42.96. The food used to be worth it but flavorless mush patty and fries as well as the service was not worth...
