The Outside Boys Food Trap — Restaurant in Baton Rouge

It was my first time eating at The Outside Boys Food Trap. The place was very busy, and I was planning on ordering 3 stuffed turkey legs to go, but unfortunately, they ran out before it was my turn to order. I ordered 1 stuffed with shrimp fettuccine and 2 stuffed with crawfish etouffee. So, I asked how long it would be before more turkey was ready, and I was told about 1 hour and a half. I asked if it would be okay if I waited, and I was told yes, of course you can. The owners, James and Shawn, and their staff all treated me like a part of the family while I waited. Let me tell you this is what comfort food is all about. If you're serious about food that is prepared with actual heart and passion. You'll go to a place like this. This place beats the breaks of podnuhs, Sonny's and every other BBQ place in The Denham/Baton Rouge area. The bread pudding is delicious and I had to stop eating and personally call the kitchen and thank them for the BEST damn turkey I've ever had. The only regret I have by ordering from here is the epiphany that every thanksgiving I've ever had has been absolutely garbage...

All I can say is WOW!!!!!! me and my family went today to see what this place was all about and we left making plans for when we are going back. The service was great and the food was AMAZING!!!!!!! Thank God Baton Rouge has a place that can boil seafood and get the flavor and timing right. 10 out of definitely recommend. WE DEFINATELY WILL BE REGULARS.
