Sabes Loft — Restaurant in Bay City

Reviewing this bar for what it is, a small town dive bar. Took 1 star off because no draft beer, all is bottles or cans. With that said, the bartenders and regulars are friendly and welcoming, the food is decent and the drink prices can’t be beat — $3 wells and domestics normally, $2 wells and domestics during all-day happy hour (10-6 M-F). They have a basic bar food menu including deep fried appetizers, a good variety of sandwiches, mac n cheese, frozen pizza, and tacos (beef, chicken or shrimp). Excellent french fries (battered and seasoned). Food prices range from $5 for fries or tots to $14 for a chicken cordon blue sandwich with fries. Definitely worth a stop.

Other things worth mentioning: large parking lot kid friendly in the way all good Wisconsin bars are not much for vegetarian options if that matters to you — not even a veggie...

Went on bingo night. No place to sit at the tables so we sat at the bar. Asked the waitress for menus. She asked for our credit card. We hadn't ordered anything . No menu and didn't ask what we wanted to drink. . Finally she gave us a menu. Another guy sat down next to us. She gave him menu and asked what he wanted to drink. Got his drink and took his order. I told her we were ready to order. Turned and walked away. Brought people on the other side of us their food and got them more drinks. What the heck. We left and are never going back. One of my favorite small town dive bars! The owner Donny is always planning fun and unique events. Their Tuesday night bingo is like no where else. It has sass and laughs from Miss Vicki which makes for an entertaining evening. The day bartender Brittany will always make ya feel welcome and is very attentive and efficient. She’s got wits too, so fun! All the staff here are amazing, and kind. Plenty of games and lots of TVs for any sporting event!
