Stopped on the way back from the beach and SO glad we did. Based on the exterior and interior of the restaurant it appears to have been there a while. Could use a little updating. Despite that, the food was great and the service was pleasant and quick. Our waitress appeared to be serving the entire room but that didn't keep her from providing excellent service. I had an oyster po' boy with sweet potato fries and they were both tasty. The bread for my sandwich was right on par with any New Orleans style po' boy I've ever had. The best part, though, was at the end when we spurged with peach cobbler and ice cream. All I can say is the billboards coming into town stating, "America's Best Peach Cobbler" wer NOT wrong!!

Saw Streets Seafood Restaurant on a local channel and stopped by to try it during the breakfast hour. I was pleased they served breakfast. No frills or atmosphere in this place. The patrons looked like regulars as we seated ourselves. Sausage and cheese omelet along with fresh hash browns with onions (my request) cooked in. I slathered the jelly on the wheat toast and dug in. The omelet was okay, but the potatoes were bland, and the onions were just added on like a condiment. The prices are unbelievable, and the portion sizes are reasonable.

The only reason this is not a one star rating is the fact that the hamburger steak is amazing, I only wish I'd have been able to eat more than 4 or 5 bites of it. We drove the 25 minutes up from Daphne rather than the 10 minutes home to Mobile because my wife remembered how amazing the food and service WAS and had commented about the food to me. We came in hungry and thirsty and had drinks quickly. 3 different servers came to our table 4 different times within 5 minutes after our drink order was taken asking if we were ready to order. We explained that I'd never been there and needed time to decide to each of them. Once we were ready to order we waited for what seemed like forever for one of them to return to take our order. My wife had a salad with her meal but I opted for coleslaw with mine. When our server brought my wife's salad she brought my buttered Texas toast and scurried off before I could ask about my coleslaw. By this time I'd already gotten a drink refill and I had drank 2 glasses of sweet tea, we'd been sitting for so long. 15 minutes later after watching my wife eat her salad I decided to eat the Texas toast that should have been served with my meal because I was so hungry. My wife finally got a servers attention and got her back to our table and I asked if she could please go ahead and bring my coleslaw and asked how much longer our dinner would be. Her response was that she wasn't sure, but hopefully soon and proceeded to tell us that since the covid, people realized that we had a drive through and that a lot of inside customers would get upset because the kitchen was serving so many drive-through customers that it was taking a long time for them to get their food. She brought my coleslaw and it was way too sweet. I left more than half of it uneaten on the table. I ended up eating all of one piece of my Texas toast and part of the second one by the time our food arrived, 40 minutes or more into our visit. By this time I'd drank the 2 glasses of tea and eaten a piece and a half of Texas toast and about half of my coleslaw and was not even hungry anymore. It was all I could do to eat 4 or 5 bites as amazing as it was. Unfortunately that was the only thing that was amazing. My wife's chicken was a bit on the burnt side of done and dry as could be. Her fries were basic crinkle cut fries and properly cooked but nothing special. Her salad was Lettuce, tomato, cucumber and cheese with dressing on the side, came wrapped in plastic wrap and bordered on limp. My hamburger steak was amazing and the gravy was as well. I'd ordered it with a fully loaded baked potato. All that was on my potato was some shredded cheese, nothing else, no butter, sour cream, NOTHING. Coleslaw was too sweet and I'd already had most of my teaxs toast. They did bring one more piece each with our meals but it was cold. All in all we were very disappointed and despite the fact that our server took the up charge for the loaded baked potato off and the cashier comped our drinks, I doubt we'll...

We travel often and always stop at this restaurant and usually food served buffet style. Fantastic fried chicken and good dessert guaranteed. This time unfortunately buffet wasn't available so we ordered from the menu. My food was delicious only came cold because server didn't brought it right way. I wasn't feeling well so I asked for coffee server rolled her eyes and told me she had to brew it. It took long time. It wasn't busy only 2 more tables besides our. My son ordered cheeseburger and server delivered hamburger we asked about cheese. She took all food with fries back to kitchen so I shared my fries with my son . When server came back I was surprised because all she did is put cold slice of cheese and that was all . How long could it take to melt cheese if not on the grill maybe just microwave? My coffee finished brewing long time ago but she still didn't bring it. From earlier buffet the big pan from banana pudding was still on the table and I seen one lady got some , my husband ordered special so we thought he can have some banana pudding (his favorite) when we asked server about dessert she informed me that it's extra $4.99 so I thought ok I will get some for my husband. But in the pan wasn't enough for one serving unless I have to scrape dried edges. So I though it's ok we don't need that. Other server made a comment:"You can have what's left I wouldn't charge anything if I was her " I paid out bill and left only 10% because I don't think this service worth more . Cashier was older lady she really worked hard , cleaned tables and brought me coffee. I understand if it was busy but 6 customers for 2 servers it's not that hard . Thank you for your time. I really like your restaurant and hope that other people get...

Total disappointment. We tried it because someone recommended this place to us. But even upon walking in, no one greeted us. We weren't sure if it was a wait to be seated place, but one of the waitresses saw us standing there unsure and told us to seat ourselves. During the course of our time there, we had four different waitresses and none of them knew what was going on or what we needed or were waiting on because I'm assuming there was a complete lack of communication. But with that being said, the place was not busy! There might have been 6 people total in there eating. It took forever for our appetizer to come out and when it did, our meal was right behind it, so that was awkward because one or the other is gonna get cold while you're eating. My husband ordered the hamburger steak with gravy and onions. He orders this most places if it's on the menu. He said it was disgusting. The gravy did have an off putting grayish color to it. They forgot his salad, then forgot to give him dressing. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger. It was actually good, but it was mostly because of the bacon. Our meal was $50 and we left a $5 tip, which I guess the four waitresses could split. Yes we usually leave great tips (20% or more), when they are deserved. Bottom line, we won't be back. And the place wasn't the...
