Baytown Cafe & Taqueria — Restaurant in Baytown

My wife and I went there this morning and the meals we ordered turned out below average grade. We ordered the same meal and the meal was huevo ranchero. The cookers put in too much of tomato sauce on the eggs, the fajita (my wife added to her meal) made her almost vomited. She said the meat tasted that they were not cooked thoroughly enough. Not much of flavors added. We added black and white peppers to make it a little bit better.

Second, while we were eating, we saw some cockroach ran on the floor. It just made us to feel that the place is filthy and hasn't been cleaned since then. Inside the place looks untidy.

Additionally, there was only one server and there was not a lot of people at the time. The server did not come back to check on us until we are ready to leave. Needs to work on that. On the other side, you have done a good job serving. Smile.

I'll start by saying my waitress was fantastic! She knew her stuff even though the restaurant didn't serve what we described to her. She had a great personality, enthusiastic but not annoying, friendly but not a bother and knowledgeable to say the least. My girlfriend enjoy the street tacos and that's what we were really there for. Having said that, I ordered a cheeseburger. I saw the picture on the menu, a big, juicy hand made beef patty and I could not resist the temptation. Much to my dismay when I got my plate, I had what appeared to be high school cafeteria cheeseburger. That accompanied with fries from out of a sack, minus lagniappe, was far from gratifying. Just left the restaurant, I ordered 2 breakfast tacos…both with bacon..the bacon was small cut up pieces that were hard as a “rock”..Chips/salsa were ice cold..I let the cashier know about the bacon, her comment was “did you let them know you wanted soft bacon “?
