Checkers — Restaurant in Baytown

I stopped at this location today and the manager was sitting on her phone not noticing I've been standing there like 3 mins. I had to call her 4 times to get her to look up. I brushed it off smiled and asked for a number 8. I was the only customer inside or out. My meal came fast to fast. I went back to my car and the fries 🍟 were old. They took old fries and put them in hot grease. The dude the was making food was eating fresh fries over the food!!! Look, I'm there mainly for the fries the burgers are the bonus. The chicken was old as hell too. Like if you hate your job quit. Don't be bad at it and wonder why folks don't like you. This is way people don't think fast food workers shouldn't make $15.00 hr. Checkers in Louisiana is amazing, this is crap in Texas, it's straight trash. Dumpster fire restaurant they don't care, and they nasty. I wish I could...

First time there. Flat soda and overcooked french fries. I usually go to the checkers down off nasa road 1 never had a single problem there. Management needs to start making it happen.

UPDATE. Second trip. Food was excellent. Asked that they make sure ketchup was in the bag, and was told they usually put three in. I said please put more because it's a large fry. Got the bag in the drive-thru, then had to back out of the drive-thru because it was backed up in front of the window. Checked the bag, there was one ketchup. Had to park, go inside. Politely asked for more ketchup they gave me 3 packs. It's obvious they're cheaping out. Lol. They need to put ketchup inside the door so you don't have to go up and ask twice for minimal ketchup. My friend recommended Checks because she has eaten at this restaurant before. But not this location. She highly recommended their food. I have never eaten at any Checkers restaurant nor this location. We ordered smoothly, order was prepared quickly. The dining area was very clean, seating for numerous people, wheelchairs accessible seating. Unfortunately, meal was cold, room temperature. The meat on burger had no taste, fries were crispy but cold and no taste. I ordered a root beer and it was cold and very good. No one checked on us after we sat down to eat.
