Denny's — Restaurant in Baytown

I went there after major surgery and couldn't walk well and in a lot of pain... Signs say wait for hostes. No one came for a while excuses were given. I sat down and asked for some time because I had surgery. Personally, for this post, I had my gallbladder out, and this was my 1st meal, and I had to think about what to eat. 10 minutes no one came. This was evening, maybe Dec 8th. Finally a young man came and asked me if I had been helped and I said no one. I explained my situation about no butter or fat, and we talked about my options, what or how they could cook it. I think his name was Gabriel. It has been a month, and I have been through a lot even since then. But my food was cooked healthier, and then there was the server who couldn't help yelling and screaming because she couldn't handle the truth or admit her mistakes of forgetting about me. But any way, my low scores are for her service and others who didn't seat me for well over 5 minutes as they ran around talking to each other. After Gabriel took my order, there was another woman who checked on me, but I didn't get her name. I was in so much pain that I had to get the truck stop portion to help get me to my truck, but at least the food, Gabriel, and the other woman helped me. But a younger girl with pink or burgundy hair is very rude, loud, and instead of correcting her mistakes, she attempts to blame others. In other words, she lies. Very immature. If I Could give THIS place less than half a star, I would. I visited this place today, as I do all Denny's when in the area of one. I ordered the same thing as I always do, chicken Philly cheesesteak with ranch and fries with salsa and queso cheese, and for dessert, the apple crumb. The cashier didn't even know what salsa was. Well I got back to my semi truck and left, while sitting at my pick up, I decided to eat my dinner and this was what I got. I literally got 10 fries. I asked for cheese and salsa on my fries, didn't get it. My chicken for the Philly cheese steak was over cooked or over heated. The chicken was rubbery and the bread crumbly. I ordered the apple crisp, they had none and cheesecake was frozen. They suggested the chocolate lava cake. I got a bowl of something that looked like dog poo. I call the manager and she tells me, there is nothing she can do because I don't frequent the area enough. THIS, by far, is the worst Denny's I have ever been to. Even though this is a franchise, there is something you could have done... I just donated to your establishment is all. Ever heard of coupons sent in the mail or something to give to another Denny's to replace this mess. This makes all Denny's look bad because you all advertise and run under the same name. Whoever the real owner is, I really hope...

I've been there several times with my fiancee....we usually go later in the evening. The wait staff is always friendly trying to get what their guests need....since this is a truck stop they meet all kinds of ppl...some regulars some good and some bad....I read reviews of this establishment. ...of course it's all on the servers.....in my opinion it's not....they have to deal with rude ppl on a daily basis....I've been a server for many years and I know what they go thru every day....not to mention still get paid 2.13 an hour....the night I was in the booth next to me thought it was funny to run her to death...while still taking care of others....run the register....refill drinks...etc....some ppl are easy these guys were just plain asses to her....then leave her a .50 cent tip.....really guys?....just once I would love to see some of these dumb asses wait on customers...daily....they expect everything to b perfect for a few bucks....then leave less than what that person is worth....let me see them make it on 50 cents....not all ppl are like this but as a server in the industry ...this is rediculous....there is no way I could treat a server like that.....they are human ppl......and ppl do make mistakes.....so the next time you want perfect service....go to golden coral....and do it...
