Usually this McDonald's is on par with others in the area, which isn't saying much. I have been using the app to accumulate points, and I have to say that I've obviously spent some amount of money to save over 20,000 points. So, when I went to this location, as it is near my house, to use some of these points... It just seemed like the person(who seemed to be the manager,) working the drive-through window was very short, and actually rude to me. I feel like it is because I only wanted to get a Large Mocha Frappe, which was free apart from the 4500 points I used from the app. Which meant that my Order that morning was $0.00, and I guess that person took it personally, or something. I don't know, but I spent plenty of actual money to get those points, and if I didn't want to place another whole order to get my "Free" coffee, then I don't understand what the problem is, or why this person(wearing the "Manager" uniform) decided to take it personally, or whether he was having a bad day, or what. But, I feel like I should be treated the same regardless of whether I spent $50 that day or...
Read moreI grew up going to tha movies on Saturdays at tha Deluxe Theater. I had tha privilege of working on the civil site work plans for tha renovations of this place. It was just a shell. Four walls and a collapsed roof. Tha structural engineers and tha architects did a fantastic job on tha restoration. My work was done outside. I designed the front sidewalk area and tha drop off zone. I designed both parking areas. The one on tha west side near the church, as well as tha one behind tha theater. I had fun creating tha plans, as well as acquiring tha permits, and meeting with numerous folk involved in bringing a dream to reality. Especially Dianne Jimmerson Pollard, a former professor at Texas Southern University, and part of tha drama school there. BTW, as of 2025, her son is a Houston City councilman. His name is Edward Pollard.
I’ve been to several events previously at tha Deluxe Theater. This particular one was for a film screening of tha movie ATL. They finally got a projector and can do movies as...
Read moreThe food is always good here.... Being a trucking company owner, I'm out on the road a lot so stopping in different places to get a bite to eat is nothing new to me. This McDonald's is inside of a Loves truckstop on 10 at Exit 789. Loves staff stays on top of this store and will not let it get dirty for any reason plus the staff is HIGHLY TRAINED in being polite to customers especially the High school kids that you see working there during the summer months. The Managers are on top of everything and they will automatically take care of any problems with bad orders or if an order leaves that's not right and the customer returns to complain, they WILL HOLD their staff accountable for any bad orders or if someone steps out of line with a customer which hary ever happens which is really nice to know that the manager staff is that highly trained. So far I've never had a problem when I've gone in there while taking time off or while I was on a run and needed something...
