I haven't been to Schlotzsky's in a couple years. No excuse, just haven't. I always loved their Original sandwich on the amazing bread they use, and the potato soup. I've only been to the restaurant on Garth Road across from the hospital. I hadn't been to this restaurant on 146 North located inside the Oasis convenience store/gas station. We decided to have lunch here after church 01/05/2020. I expected a few tables crammed together in the corner. To my happy surprise, the seating area was open, brightly lit by sunshine pouring in through large plate glass windows. It was neat, tidy and clean, including the self-serve drinks station. The woman who served us (I'm sorry, I don't recall her name) was friendly and efficient. Our food took very little time to prepare; she brought it to us as opposed to us having to go get it. I'm aware that might not happen if it's busy, but it was a nice perk today. The food was exactly as I expected: the Original recipe on their famous sourdough bread should be the same at every restaurant. The sandwich was perfect. The loaded baked potato soup was yummy. Both were just what I remembered. The rest of the Oasis store was also nicely spaced, neat, tidy and clean, and was well illuminated. (I don't feel safe in cramped areas, crowded-together shelving aisles, shadowed corners.) Music played in the background, wasn't so loud we couldn't hear ourselves talking. I can see me coming here in the future to purchase gas, eat at Schlotzsky's. I guarantee I will...
Read moreThe bread was horrible. I had the Fiesta Chicken on Jalp bread. I took two bites and threw it away. $16.10
I worked at a Schlotzsky’s from 18yrs old to 23yrs and I’m currently 37. I had worked every position and the owner and or the employees would have never let that bread even get out to the assembly line. Much less to a customer.
Its not just this location either that is doing this. Ive had at least 4 different Schlotzsky’s recently and they all do the same thing.
Im not sure who reads these comments but I will personally come there for free and cook the bread once and show you the major tase difference. I would love to be able to enjoy Schlotzsky’s like I used to for so many years again and hope someone out there takes this seriously.
I have offered this to other locations and they just brush me off and their store ends up closing. If these stores continue to make their food the way they do they will sure...
Read moreSince we have to abide by the local rules and companies policy, this restaurant do not care about it. While I am waiting for my sandwich I noticed the two employees preparing the food weren't wearing any mask, and were speaking to each other while preparing food. Therefore I brought this matter up to the person behind the desk and acted like nothing was wrong with. I asked for another sandwich since I already paid for it and they refused. Do not be a victim of uneducated and ignorant people. Most of these employees aren't happy with their job a their performance is poor, and we as customers suffer the...
