Big Thanks to Ray & Kate for bringing the BLACK CROW to Beatrice - 25 yrs & still excelling in fine dining - tasteful ambiance in restored dining room, someday I just want to sit at the antique bar - maybe you'll want to start with an Arbeg - ? what?, the best smokey Islay Scotch in Beatrice (thanks to Kate, her fave) - better get a pint of Guinness on tap with that!...ask for a side Caesar salad with the best anchovies anywhere - Fun Pizzas - impeccable seafood dishes - maybe you'll stop in for a special on Thursday ethnic night - don't worry about dessert - you'll get it if you know what's GOOD for you - over heard one diner say, "Oh, that's what bread pudding should tase like!"...don't be selfish, expect to share desserts ! - everyone will want a taste - CHEERS!

If you're in Beatrice and looking for big city quality food, this is the place to go. The menu is quite extensive. Everything from Caesar salad to steak to seafood to pizza. They serve beer and wine and have a full bar, as well. The building has incredible character including a beautiful tin ceiling. The outdoor space is welcoming and cozy. If that's not enough to entice you, all of the members of the staff, including the owners, are fabulous! Check it out. I assure you, you will not be disappointed!

An unexpected delight in downtown Beatrice. This was a really great dining experience. 5 star dining in a small town in Nebraska. The Black Crow has an extensive cocktail, beer, and wine list. After hearing about the specials, we barely looked at the rest of the menu (but it was robust if the specials don't intrigue you). The food was excellent all the way around. The server was excellent. We'll versed in the menu and did a great job. This place is worth going out of your way for.

Beatrice, Nebraska. Pronounced Bay-AH-trice. This isn't a place I was looking to visit. I came here because a part on my aircraft failed, and I needed the nearest airport. It was a frustrating day that had started with an actual emergency that morning, to be followed by this failure. My morale was low, and the only recommendation for food in town I had gotten was for a fast food place. But I saw this place on Google Maps and I figured, "why not?" Down I went.

What a delight.

Seriously.

This place cured my ills for the evening with a dinner worthy of Michelin Stars, and with friendly faces and absolutely outstanding service. I was alone, so I sat at the bar and had a long conversation with Kate the bartender, who also happens to own the place with her husband. They've been there 30 years, and they restored the building (an original from the days of the Old West). The love and care shows. It shows in the setting, in the food, and in the hospitality. My biggest regret was that my wife wasn't with me. It's really her kind of place.

I might actually have to go back.

To Beatrice. Pronounced Bay-AH-trice.

To visit. On...

Decided to give it a try again after being underwhelmed after our initial experience in hopes that we experienced an off night. Nope.

I ordered the beef tips special—the sauce and mushrooms were good, but the meat was leftover reheated steak, and the pasta was mushy—yuck! Completely ruined the dish. If I leftovers I’d stay home and eat. $23 for the dish+$5 for the salad.

My husband ordered the top sirloin. It came with mashed potatoes and carrots that were insanely sweet. The steak came out so tough he couldn’t chew it. They made him a new one, and that one was only little bit better, and he left half of it.— “Market Price” for the dish which was $25! I guess the market price in Beatrice is far more than it is in any other Nebraska town.

Our dining companion ordered the duck which came with the same sides as the steak. The duck was really good. It was also “Market price”—$32!!

The service was very good, which earned them an...

Very disappointed yesterday this place has really gone downhill.

We ordered two take out orders during ribfest. Pulled pork sandwich and rack of ribs with sides. The pulled pork sandwich was really good but everything else was bad. The beans were burnt they looked like black beans they were so burnt. The coleslaw was only cabbage looked like it came out of a tub but didnt taste as good. The ribs were very tough it did not want to come off the bone at all and usually it is falling off. The person who was so looking forward to a good meal threw there 20 dollar meal away it was so bad because they ordered double beans.

Called the restaurant the let them know the beans were burnt so they wouldn't serve them to others but she began to argue with me. Wasn't looking for a any acknowledgement/ refund just wanted to let them know.

Heavily supported them during the pandemic ordering out a few times a week but know...
