The Crossing Pub and Grub — Restaurant in Beaver Crossing

Stopped in for takeout this evening. Around 8:30pm.

Wanted to wait awhile after they opened. Opening night, first weekend, week are always filled with the unexpected, crowds, and extended wait times. I didn’t want those to factor into my review.

The changes to the interior look great. The menu is just right for Beaver, not fancy and overloaded, simple with variety. I ordered two Double Smash Burgers, fries, onion rings, and mozzarella sticks for my son and I. Wait time for the order was maybe 15 minutes. While I waited, the owner brought me something to drink and conversed with me about the opening night, week and how things had been going, and asked how I was and how my family was doing. She also attended to a single customer, and a large family having dinner. The young man who’d prepared my order made sure I didn’t need anything else before cashing me out.

The burgers and sides were great. Presentation inside the to go containers looked like it was served on a plate. The food wasn’t just tossed in there. I only live a few blocks away and food was still very hot, fries and rings still crispy. Best part was the bottom bun was not soggy and filled with grease. So, a special thanks to the chef. I appreciate your attention to detail. My son also enjoyed his meal and was equally pleased.

I will definitely return to try the pizza selections and play some trivia. If you haven’t been here it’s worth...

Really enjoyed ourselves tonight at this great Pub! We started with The Crossing Sampler appetizer which included corn nuggets, chicken strips, onion rings and fried pickles with a delicious ranch and bbq sauce! I ordered a Crossing Salad and it was sized just right with crispy croutons and ranch. Yummy! The smashburgers look great with their branded buns and fries, and the cocktails were refreshing! Opening night me and my buddies go down to check out the new ownership. Great atmosphere when we walked in. Went to order drinks which took 2 tries and and 20 minutes for 3 drinks (one being a coke). About 12:30 or so the owner walked up to us at the uneven leveled pool table which was one of the minimal activities there which we had been playing on for an hour or 2. He accused me (an 18 year old) of being “stuttery” and asked me and my buddies for our IDs. He then proceeded to confiscate the ball from us with no explanation.
