Chapala Restaurant — Restaurant in Beaver

Dude. That place is gross. And the service was bad. It's seat yourself btw. Took me five minutes to figure that out while the cashier, and waitresses, just stared at me silently. Why five minutes? The sign that says seat yourself is a 10 inches big and placed around the side of the counter where you can't see it till you step around the side. The bathroom is like a run down truck stop. The employees don't wear gloves (I could see in the kitchen). The burger I ordered (cuz how can you mess up a burger) was fried to a crisp. Yet somehow the grease remained on the bun. Its like they poured it on as an after thought cuz they realized they overcooked the patty. The cook also put grease on the top of the bun, it was gross.

I felt bad for the waitress. She apologized before taking my order and said she was new. She obviously had not been trained. She didn't know shorthand for jalapeños. And tried to figure out how to spell it. I told her to just write Japs, cuz they would get it. She thought I was joking... Then realized I wasn't and wrote Japs. They figured it out...

The fries were good though. Until the waitress asked for my ketchup bottle, because they needed one at another table. And I ran out of ketchup, cuz I surrendered my bottle while underestimating the amount I would need to finish said fries. Damn good fries though. Damn good.

The locals didn't seem to care about the service or the food. It's the only place in town to eat besides pizza but... Don't eat there. Just go the gas station...

Well i asked for breakfast and it was only 11:30 a.m. and the waitress told me that there was no breakfast, but someone else ordered after my friend and i showed up getting breakfast. I ordered at 11:30 a.m. for my cheeseburger and I got it at 12:13 p.m. and it was just sitting there in the kitchen. By the time i got it, it was cold and my fries were cold and nasty. It was there sitting for roughly 10 minutes. She gave me my food at 12:13p.m and didn’t ask if i wanted any condiments. She just walked away. She basically tossed my plate onto the table. She grabbed my food and walked to the other side of the restaurant and she comes back to my table and goes “did you not get your food yet? this is probably yours.” I was waiting for any waitress to come up and ask us how we were doing, but...

Unfortunately, this was a very poor Experience! We waited and waited for the waitress to greet us and take out order. She ran around us Numberous times to assist others just coming in and taking their orders. We had to ask her to please take our order. The coffee was like warm dirty water or tea and had to convince the girl to make new coffee. She didn't. Another customer ended up making coffee. I had biscuits and gravy. The gravy was pretty much warm milk thickened with cornstarch and a little pepper. Flavorless and disappointing. The waitress never checked to see how our food was nor did she remove our plates from the table. We never got our bill. We had to ask for it. So over all, it was a Painful Experience we paid for....
