We chose the Best Western paradise inn because they have such great reviews and in addition they work with Crazy Cow cafe which also has good reviews. We were really looking forward to having a delicious hot meal after being on the road for two days.. We tried to call three times waiting 5-10 minutes in between, no answer. So we decided we’d walk over since they sit across from the hotel. We walked in and waited for a few minutes but were never greeted, so we stepped past a couple that was waiting for a table to open and I asked if I would be able to place a to-go order. She told me that she couldn’t do it and to come back in 10 minutes. I asked her then again, if I could just leave her my order because I would be happy to come back in 30 to 45 minutes when it was done. Rather than wait in the restaurant. I know there were three sets of couples watching the interaction, and I was told by the lady loudly in front of everyone that she could not put my order in ahead of everyone else. I then clarified again and said that I would just like to leave my order so they could put it in after everybody was helped, I wasn’t trying to get ahead of everyone else, and I would just come back later. She repeated herself and said she can’t, she needed to take care of seating the other couples and putting their orders in even though I was happy to come back later… Two of the couples had already been helped, and were only waiting for a table to be set up. If I can’t place the order over the phone, where in that situation any other restaurant would just write down the order- then I would have to walk back over again just to walk back and wait for my food. It seemed pointless to keep walking back-and-forth when I could just leave her my order and she could put it into the kitchen 10 or 15 minutes after everybody else was taken care of. I was extremely disappointed, I understand people are probably short staffed still and although they didn’t seem very busy, there were only two waitresses so they were probably overloaded. But I still just can’t believe that she would not take my order, and still talk to me like that in front of all of the other customer standing there waiting. Very frustrating, especially to someone who was not being rude. We did not end up going back nor using our free breakfast meal vouchers there. I’m sure the food is great and the cafe was definitely very cute, but I didn’t want to deal with the...
Read moreMy husband and I had a 5-star experience! We stopped to stay the night in Beaver at the Best Western Paradise and the front desk gave us a voucher for a free cheese curd appetizer or cheesecake and two vouchers for free breakfast at the Crazy Cow Cafe located in the same parking lot as the hotel. We rolled over for dinner and the place was packed, especially considering it was a Sunday evening. We had maybe a 10-15 min wait but they filtered everyone through pretty quickly. All of the staff were extremely friendly—several waiters took care of us and helped each other out by making sure drinks were always filled, orders were taken, and food was delivered to all the tables so no one was waiting on anything while it was so busy.
The food was EXCELLENT! We got the cheese curd appetizer with ranch and marinara (free with our voucher), full rack of ribs with FOUR sides (my husband got salad, cornbread with honey butter, baked beans, and the baked potato), and I got the French dip sandwich with fries (don’t forget to add provolone). Everything was absolutely delicious—we literally ate everything on our plates and did not have any leftovers. My husband was SO STOKED on these ribs. The meat fell right off the bone.
They have a seriously good-looking dessert menu! Pies, fried Oreos, butter cakes, milkshakes, ice cream, and the list goes on. At the time, we didn’t have room for dessert because we eaten so much food for our dinner—but after walking back to our hotel room, we couldn’t stop thinking about the butter cake so we ended up walking back after our dinner had settled and ordered dessert. I am SO GLAD we did because the butter cake with caramel ice cream was OUT OF THIS WORLD! Like INSANELY GOOD! I’m still drooling just thinking about it.
We travel through Utah pretty often so we will definitely be adding the crazy cow cafe as a pit stop on our drive through...
Read moreWe met my girlfriend's grandmother and her husband here for lunch and what a great place! We were pretty bummed The Creamery was closed, but I'm really glad we found this place, I would certainly hit it up again!!
The menu was really good and it seems like they must get local beef from the story inside the menu (I'm a sucker for local beef, so that swayed me from trying a fish basket).
We had 3 amazing ladies that were helping our table out (Chrissie, Sophie, and Shanna) and they were so nice and patient and sweet (I'm sorry we were there for so long, but thank you for being so kind and understanding while my girlfriend and her grandma visited). I don't think you could ask for better people.
The food was amazing! I had the rodeo burger, which is something I usually avoid because BBQ burger are so messy (there's only one I routinely get because it's so good it's worth the mess). This one was great and much less messy! Don't let the lack of mess fool you though, it's just as delicious as any BBQ I've had. I would definitely get this again.
Also fun were the tater tots! I noticed I had some Ls and Zs and T-shaped ones and I was wondering about the significance of the letters when I realized they were Tetris shapes! I had my burger in my hand, shich left plenty of room on my plate to arrange my tater tots into a nice block of Tetris shapes. Definitely fun! They were also super crispy and very tasty.
I also had a Cowsicle drink, which was like Sprite and orange and vanilla. It was like a fizzy orange creamsicle sort of deal, which I hadn't had before but was really tasty!
Overall, for a fun and extremely tasty dining experience and the friendliest staff you could ever find, the Crazy Cow is...
