The Penguin — Restaurant in Bedford Township

We were on our way home on the turnpike and decided to have an easy off/easy on rest break in Bedford. We stopped for ice cream at The Penguin since I had read online that they had vegan options. I was so happy to find not only did they have vegan ice cream made from oat milk, but that it wasn’t just vanilla but another flavor too. The oat ice cream was so good! My husband had a soft serve of pistachio and raspberry and said it was delicious as well. This is definitely worth a stop! Sweet little stop in Bedford PA. They have many flavors and styles of serving, soft serve, hard ice creams, cones, cups, milkshakes, flurries, ice cream sandwiches. They also had gluten free Joy cake cups & a non dairy vanilla soft serve! They advertised gluten free Oreos as a mix-in for flurries too. Nice surprise to find these options.
