Ice Cream Cottage — Restaurant in Bedford

My wife's family has been coming here for 20 years. I wasn't going to get anything until I saw they had soft serve. I asked for a large bowl of it. The girl barely filled it up, then gave me an already partially melted bowl of ice cream. Whatever. Then we paid. $4.80. are you serious? Okay never buying that again. Wasn't going to complain. This isn't why I 1 starred this place. It was the way the staff treated us later. 2 minutes later the family is eating, and we see my brother-in-law eating his. It was bigger than mine, and it was a small. Still soft serve. Okay I guess I should talk to the manager even though ours is basically done. She denied what I said. She told me they always weigh it before giving it to you and it would have been 8 oz. I told her no one weighed it, and to be fair there's no way this was 8 oz (I do weigh your own froyo a lot). All I expected was an, "oh, I'll talk to the girl who served you about it," and either knocking the charge down to a medium or getting a little more ice cream. The manager said the girl definitely weighed it. The manager wasn't in the room when the ice cream wasn't weighed. I wasn't trying to pull a fast one on her, stealing ounces and ounces of ice cream; but she treated me like a scam artist. Really crummy experience. By the way, I cross posted this review because people came after me on Yelp and called me names for having a bad experience, and their response reviews were the only thing they ever did on Yelp.
