The warm atmosphere of Dags is only 1 of its many charms. How about the fact that more often than not you’re undoubtedly going to know a handful of your friends and family sitting around the bar. Dags is like cheers; where everyone knows your name. Stepping into the warm bar and being greeted by a sea of people and laughter is sometimes the best part of your day.

Once cozied up to the beautiful wooden bar the next and greatest best thing about Dags is their bartenders. Lauren already has your order ready and they are both calling your name and giving you the friendliest and most amazing smile! The beer is ice cold and the liqueur is quick! You rarely have to ask for a refill, Lauren is on top of it and as soon as the thought clears your mind she’s there like a beautifully answered prayer.

The drinking is good. The eating is good. The music is good. Whether you’re controlling from the jukebox or you’re lucky another to be there on a night with live music, it all adds to the excitement and atmosphere of Dags. Blame it all on my roots but there’s something to be said about singing to the top of your lungs with a bar full of people who all know the words by heart.

If competition is the name of your game, the clinking of pool balls and smell of chalk happens there too. Play a round of darts! Take aim and collect your bragging rights as Darts champion!

I visited Dag’s a handful of times 3+ years ago. Back then it was lively, smoking allowed and food that came out of a microwave. I recently moved back to the area and was looking forward to seeing how the local watering hole was doing. I opened the door and … WOW! No smell of smoke, stale beer, or last nights shenanigans but instead I was welcomed by a bar filled with smiling, laughing patrons and a bartender who made me feel at home. I’ll admit, I was still hesitant about ordering food so today (visit #4 under new ownership) I finally caved. I couldn’t take it anymore. The siren call of perfectly seasoned fries, the sweet but spicy scent of wings with amazing sauce…. THE CHEESESTEAKS! So anyway, they had to roll me out of there lol. I can’t wait to try more food and see what else they do as time goes on. I have all the confidence in the world that this owner can pull off anything he sets...

I often called this place Bucks County’s best kept secret. The bar sits roadside on 611. If it’s not your destination you’ll zip right past and never know it was there. This makes it a great local’s dive. The new owner has been making great strides to not only respect the long time locals but also is trying to share this great spot with everyone. Awesome food, diverse entertainment, and no shortage of conversation on any topic. Sit privately at a a table with friends or saddle up the bar and participate in the community conversation. A must stop for bikers, dive enthusiasts, or anyone looking to catch a buzz and leave with some stories.
