This was my first time going to pops. We went as soon as they opened and were the only 2 in the restaurant. The waitress did a good job, we would have liked to see her come in the middle of the meal not just the beginning and end of the meal. My wife ordered a burger and I order the chicken Philly. The food is fresh but the burger is deffintly a frozen patty and a hint over seasoned but was good. The Philly was good, fresh soft bread, almost seems like fajita style chicken meat, it looks seasoned but I feel like it needed a little salt. (Which isn't a biggie I can do that at the table.) The absolute best hamburgers I've ever eaten!! Their shrimp is incredible, huge!! There, French fries 🍟 are put out this 🌎 world and need no Ketchp because the seasoning is just that great!! You get an enormous amount of food, sides, endless coke, tea, whatever you ordered for your drink! The catfish or chicken strips or salad are all huge and delicious!! I absolutely highly recommend this fantastic diner! The owner Sam is so welcoming and friendly you'll want to take your family there! My husband and I do date night every Friday! WOW. Wow, wow, WoW!! We always try mom n pop shops vs. Big name diners, and I am NOT disappointed! It's 2024 my expectations were low, let me tell you what we were more than impressed. Hubby got a 3 piece fish meal, and the fish size was unexpected, but the taste was fresh, wasn't dry, and filled my big man up! I got a chicken sandwich with fried Okra. As northern-born Okra is a tasty treat, we don't have fresh okra, I'm OBSESSED.
