The Cook is really good, we haven’t had anything we don’t like. If you don’t dine in check your order before leaving the store, we have got home and had the wrong order 4 or 5 times. Also, they could do a better job sprucing the place up. The screened in patio is nice but if they decorated it with fish and bears or mountain decor it would feel so much cozier. We live across the street on Watauga and go here twice a week. The place is a mile from the lake and should have tackle, minnows etc., they sell night crawlers but all 3 times I tried to buy some they were out. Keep in mind the hours aren’t great, kitchen closed Sundays Mondays and only open until 2 the other days. Read moreMost disappointing experience I've had in a long time. The place was almost empty with only two other parties there. There were at least four waitresses working but they all seemed very young and inexperienced. When my bland looking breakfast was delivered I found that the egg whites were runny and asked to have it cooked a little longer. A full 20 minutes later I got it back overcooked and barely palatable omelette with hard cold toast. When we were checking out I believe they overcharged us but the waitress had no idea how to recall the order and check. It was so disappointing and frustrating we just walked out after paying. Avoid this place at all costs you'll be better off driving to Mountain City and eating breakfast...
