just got back from our second go round of trying Krispy's and very happy to say we enjoyed both trips! they have a little bit of everything selection wise, the portion size and price are fair, and everything weve had has been tasty. the staff was also so friendly, it made for a great experience. we used the drive thru both times and didnt have to wait long for our food, love having a drive thru option in town that isnt mcd's!
weve had: crispy chicken sandwich, firecracker sandwich, chicken tender combo, cheese curds, frozen lemonade, birthday cake ice cream, and peanut butter ice cream. our dog has tested their pup cups too and gives them two paws up ;) everything was very good, but especially that ice cream, holy cow! honestly if all they sold was ice cream, i think theyd still be a hit. the birthday cake had chunks of soft cake in it and the pb had big delicious wads of peanut butter, its SO GOOD!
the food was all well made, love that their fries are different than other places. the firecracker sandwich did actually have heat which was great, hard to find that kind of stuff in the area. the frozen lemonade is another stand out item, i think we might get it every time we go haha. sweet, tart, and delicious! the chicken sandwich was pretty good, i would had liked a bit more oomph seasoning wise, but thats a personal preference and not a fault with krispy's. it's all in all very solid food, we will happily be making this a go to spot. we are looking forward to working our way through the menu and seeing if they expand to more things!
a few things to note- the drive thru window does sit a little further back and high compared to a dunkin for example, but just pay attention when pulling up and youll be fine. the area its located can be a bit difficult to take a left out of during high traffic, but take a right out and you can easily turn around through the...
Read moreA two star rating is generous. We went there on Thursday their soft opening. I realize it was their soft opening but they should have been better prepared. It took them a long time to open. My wife and I ordered cheeseburgers. They both tasted like rubber. One friend we were with ordered the clam strip dinner. She got 10 small clams and they were burnt. She called a lady over and showed her the clams. She said she paid $18.00 dollars for fries. The lady said her Mom owned the restaurant. She apologized and said they didn't weigh them up properly. She gave her another order. She asked how our burgers were? We said not good, very over cooked. We will try them again at some point. They should let you be...
Read moreThe restaurant doesn't accept call ahead orders to be picked up in its drive through. We went last Saturday around 2p to get shakes. They were out of both the Strawberry shake & the Chocolate Chip Mint. My husband was disappointed as those were the shake flavors he wanted to try.
We had to settle for an Oreo Cookies shake. It tasted good, but each shake was $8 for a large size. It's not home made ice cream. It's a Hershey brand, per the employee who answered my questions over the phone.
I'll definitely call to check whether the shake flavors we want are available prior to driving there to avoid being disappointed if they're not. They should keep better tabs on their inventory.
I'll try Kryspy's again...
