Checked out the new Table Au Pain in Bella Vista this past weekendâand honestly, the experience didnât quite live up to the hype.
When we arrived, there was no greeting or guidance, so we just found a table and seated ourselves. We grabbed our own menus and browsed through the limited Sunday brunch options. It took about 8 minutes before someone finally brought us water and mentioned a server would be with us shortly.
Once our server arrived, there were no suggestions or welcomeâjust straight to taking our order. I went with the pot roast and a fried egg, while the rest of the family ordered the omelette of the day. Prices were on the higher side for what felt like a pretty basic brunch, but we were curious to try since itâs part of the same group that runs the other Table Restaurants around NWA.
The food came out quickly (under 10 minutes) and looked decent at first glanceâbut looks can be deceiving. My pot roast was just okay, and the âmediumâ fried egg came out well done and overcooked. The omelettes were decent, but again, the portion sizes didnât quite match the price tag.
The place was definitely busy, with people coming and going the entire time. But it felt a bit chaoticâno real flow or management of the crowd. It even took about 10 minutes after we finished to get the bill so we could clear the table for the next group.
All in all, it wasnât a terrible experience, just not a standout. I might give it another shot down the line to see if things improve.

Read moreMy husband and I enjoyed our first visit to Table au Pain on a Saturday morning. The restaurant while busy, had open seating at the bar and some tables. When i walked in I noticed how open the restaurant is, seeing all the way into the kitchen but my eyes focused on those PASTERIES! I could tell just by looking at them they were going to taste amazing. We sat in at a table in the corner and appreciated the small menu as we are indecisive and having a ton of options honestly stresses us out. I ordered a fancy coffee that unfortunately do not recall the name of but it had maple syrup in it and tasted great! My husband had fresh squeezed OJ, and when i say fresh we watched as the machine pulverized the oranges, tasted so good! We finished with the Ham Egg Sandwich on a croissant. The croissant was soft fluffy, in bakers terms beautifully laminated, best croissant I've ever tasted. The fixing that went on the sandwich were just as amazing as the pastry, that onion jam should be sold in stores. Our sandwiches were accompanied by a small fresh salad of arugula and berries with a very light vinaigrette. Service was also impeccable, I can't remember the gentleman's name exactly but it started with a D, he gave us time, offered suggestions, and was very pleasant as we discussed Christmas Shopping. We're already looking forward to...
Read moreWe tried Bellaâs Table (a few doors down, same owners) last night for dinner and loved it, so we decided we must come back this morning to the Table au Pain bakery and cafe for brunch. It was excellent! I had the farmers omelette, a la Carte side of French toast and a vanilla iced breve, my husband had the bacon and egg sandwich on a croissant and a chocolate chip cookie. My omelette was good, very fresh tasting and great ingredients, but nothing special. Just a solid omelette. My French toast was the best Iâve ever had! Thick and great flavor, perfect texture. The espresso was very good, Iâm a bit of an espresso snob and Iâd come back for their coffee so I was happy about that. My husband LOVED his sandwich, saying it was fresh and flavorful, the croissant was outstanding. And we both really enjoyed the cookieâ it was pretty much a perfect chocolate chip cookie. Texture and flavor were exceptional. Our sever was very friendly, did a fine job. Bakery smelled amazing and I wanted to try a bite of everything. Only critique is service is a touch slow. We werenât greeted for a while after we walked in, we didnât know to seat ourselves, then took a while to get drinks. However, we werenât in a rush so it was a very enjoyable morning. We look forward to going back for breakfast/brunch and want to try their other...
