My Mom has lived at The Plaza for 10 years, and loves it. My husband and i love it there too. It’s an apartment co-op for adults 55 and over who just like easy living, and it’s not the cliche retirement home. It’s a fantastic place to live if you want to travel like my husband and i, and not worry about getting a house sitter to check your pipes, or have your packages picked up by a neighbor, since living here is secure and worry free, nearly responsible free, heck, they’ll even change a burned out lightbulb. So it’s a great home for empty nesters, retirees, and those who aged well no matter their age, and are healthy and active. I decided that I was tired of maintaining a home: frozen pipes, broken appliances, roof repair, lawn care, pest care, high utilities, etc. Large, beautiful apartments for independent living, NOT assisted living. This is the place to be: lazy luxury living after years of weekend chores or taking off work to be at home to wait on the repairman. I still go to work but I don't have to be here for an issue to be fixed. The locale is beautiful, it's quiet, and all your repair needs are handled. Read moreWe moved here 1 year ago in lieu of all the worries of home maintenance and expense. Not only that, all the amenities have made it "fun" living here. The neighbors are really friendly and willing to help in any way if needed. The management has been very cooperative and willing to assist in any way possible to make life more pleasant.
