Ice House Drive-In — Restaurant in Belle Plaine

Unfortunately I have to give a 1 star review as much as I enjoy the food here, there is always an issue EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. with my order when I get home, some things missing, or I get a completely different order by accident, which happens, I understand when its super busy and things get crossed but after tonight, I'm through with Ice House.

We called in for a carry out order of: 1 Mushroom + Swiss Burger 1 Western Burger with Lettuce 1 Cheeseburger - Plain 1 Cheeseburger - Ketchup and Pickles Only 6 piece Chicken Planks 5 orders of Fries 1 Order of Breaded Mushrooms 2 Lg Rainbow Slushies 1 Lg Pineapple Shake 2 Lg Chocolate Cherry Malts

The girl over the phone even read back the exact order to me.

When I did the math based off the menu here it should've been around $95-$96 after tax, went and picked up my food and it was $106.47. I thought maybe they had a to go charge much like the Lincoln Cafe has, which would be understandable.

Get home and start dishing out the meals to the family and we're missing the Mushroom and Swiss burger, so I call back where they apologize and will make it so I go back to get it. Where I inquired about a to go charge and they said they didnt have one. After she re-rang it back up it was still $106.47 so I asked to see the ticket, they charged me for 2 Western Burgers and I only got the one that I requested with lettuce. When I told her this I got a look like I was speaking a different language and a "Sorry about that." No refund offer, no offer to make me the 2nd Burger I paid for. I was irritated so I left with the Mushroom and Swiss that was already missing. Not going to be eating here again due to the terrible customer service. The service is terrible. They messed up on my order and when I asked for a refund for the items I didn't receive I was told "No". The burgers tasted fine but the toppings tasted old and my fries were soggy and mussy. Edit to answer comment. I waited over 30 minutes for the food I ordered at a drive thru. When my food was originally brought out not all the items I ordered were there or correct. The lady went back inside then came back out with just fries. I ordered a chili dog basket/meal but received a kids drink not a regular sized drink. I ordered a mini corn dog kids meals and got fried vegetables instead of mini corn dogs. I also never received the cheese sauce I paid for. I asked to receive all the items I actually ordered and paid for or my money back for the items that were messed up. First time eating in this "establishment" , and I must say it is not worth any time or money to come here. First of all I am in disbelief they charge a dollar for a cup of ice water, which is city tap water. Their food is sub par to say the least. Dry bread for buns, a footlong " bar s" brand hot dog, The woman behind the counter, very poor attitude, no greeting at all, makes a person feel very unwelcome, even though she is the daughter of the owner she and they should know better. Only thing worth buying is the fries for 3.50$. maybe next time they will have their affairs in order and give a damn about customer service. People forget that when someone goes to a restaurant it is to treat themselves, not to be punished, and throw hard...
