If you are inquiring about having your wedding here. Please read my experience.
First for for most I want to say, I had the most beautiful weather and scenery for my wedding day. But for the amount of money I paid for a 1hr ceremony rental here- I wish it could have been better.
My morning started off in the bridal suite, where Kyle kept coming in unannounced with my half-dressed bridesmaids getting ready, no knock or anything. He would just walk in unannounced. A lot of my bridesmaids and including my mom felt very uncomfortable with him coming in so unannounced.
When Kyle brought the mimosa bar and snacks in I asked if he included the sangria and he said I did not order that, but said he would double check. I in fact did pay for it and had my invoice waiting for him.
As I began to walk down the isle, I noticed I had so many guests standing. Originally yes, I said 80 seats but somewhere along the lines I updated that number to 200. One of my bridesmaids asked Kyle for more chairs and he rudely told them absolutely not. I had several pregnant and older guests standing and that made me very upset.
I had spoken to Angi several times about my wedding day, in email and in person, I hadn’t ever met Kyle until our rehearsal dinner and he introduced himself as “Angi’s boss” My first impression was that he was unprofessional and disorganized. I was really hoping to work with Angi seeing as she was the only one we had already spoken to about everything about my wedding day.
After the ceremony our guests that needed to be shuttled, started to get shuttled while we took a couple photos. After photos both families, the bridal party and my husband and I waited in the sun for 20 minutes and no more shuttles were coming down. So we began to walk. Every single one of my bridesmaid dresses and shoes got ruined with tar from the fresh asphalt. Oh and my wedding dress got tar all over it as well. My very expensive bridal gown, ruined by tar, that maybe not even professional cleaning will fix. If I could attach pictures of my dress to this review I would.
Was my entire wedding day ruined? No, but I expected more and a better experience than I received when including amount of money my husband and I invested to have our wedding...
Read moreI just got married here last month, and oh my goodness, what a wonderful experience! My and my husband's original wedding ceremony venue went out of business due to COVID, and I can't tell you how terrified we initially were. All of our other services were still planned, and we were worried that we wouldn't find a place that could work with our pre-existing plans, and that we'd never find another place that felt as special as our first pick. The Weingarten exceeded all expectations! Not only were we able to fit our ceremony with the Weingarten in with our other plans for the day, but the venue was absolutely stunning and made our day feel completely magical! From our first tour, my husband and I knew this venue was the right choice for us. All the event staff are extremely responsive and so caring towards your unique needs. You never feel out-of-the-loop or lost in the planning process, or like you can't ask a question. Our day went off without a hitch as well! Our rehearsal was wonderfully helpful and all the staff made sure the entire wedding party felt like they knew exactly what to do the day of the wedding! As for the ceremony itself, there was rain the day before our wedding, and the staff assured me that they would absolutely do everything in their power to keep the wedding outdoors as we'd originally envisioned it, and would keep me up to date if the ground was too soft to set up chairs. Everything was in its place the day of the wedding and I didn't have to worry about a thing regarding set-up, and we got to have the outdoor wedding we'd dreamt of! Truly, from start to finish, I can't thank the Weingarten's event staff enough for being as kind, thoughtful, and enthusiastic as they were! You made our day so...
Read moreSo yesterday the ladies from our Zumba class went to the Weingarten after Zumba. We’re enjoying our wine , Sangria , until a group of 50 kids with like 10 moms came in . Now I love kids . But , we were totally appalled at this group coming to the winery . The kids ran around were jumping on the stage , playing by the lake . Hard to enjoy yourself with all that going on . We were pretty horrified at the Moms who sat / stood under the pavilion sipping their wine , truly not watching the kids . The group had been to Eckert’s & decided this was a good idea . They were from a Catholic school in Kirkwood. Needless to say our afternoon was ruined . How could these Moms have been so thoughtless !!! 😒 The above was posted by a friend.
Maybe you should have this place listed as an "Adults Only" place. These were women driving children consuming alcohol. Poor judgement on this part. But this wouldn't have happened had the restaurant taken control of...
