Surprisingly rude staff at both the entrance and the waitress at our table. They did not want us to sit near the windows (we came for the view and to watch the skiers) because we came in for drinks and appetizers and not a full lunch. The woman who seated us argued that we had to order food to sit there.....we repeated that we planned to order appetizers. The waitress gave us the menus and before even ordering our drinks, rudely said "so are you gonna order something?" My husband asked her if there was draft beer and her response was "there's a list in the menu". Our friend ordered extra olives in his Bloody Mary, but it was served with none that we could see. He asked for more olives and our waitress said with an attitude "well, she put four in there". Eventually, we found the olives in the bottom of the glass. We ordered steak nachos which were just okay. The "steak" was very fine flakes of meat, not at all what we expected. We're still in disbelief how rudely we were treated when we were some of the only patrons in the...
Read moreBeautiful view! However, the service was very disappointing. One in our group ordered a brandy old fashioned and the bartender made it with whiskey (I watched him pour it), apparently hoping it would go unnoticed. When my friend tasted the drink she immediately knew it was wrong and we specifically asked him if it was made with brandy and he lied and said yes. We didn’t want to make a big scene about it but the drink was so poorly and incorrectly made she had to ask for a substitution. Thankfully he made an alternative drink without issue. It would have been fine if he said he didn’t know how to make the old fashioned, or told us they didn’t have brandy, but him choosing to lie about it was extremely unprofessional. I would not recommend ordering any drink here that involves more than two ingredients, and definitely watch closely as they...
Read moreThis place is worth the drive. Finding other area restaurants closed on Mondays, we came here for an early dinner. Our table was next to the window with a great view of the Mississippi. Service was good and wait time was decent. We had good service and good food at a reasonable price. The chicken noodle soup was very good. I’m not a fan of onion rings, but we ordered them and they didn’t disappoint. Barbecue chicken wings were on par with most restaurants. Google lists this restaurant as Sunset Grille, but we ate in the section called “The Summit” next door on the property. Menu is...
