Tacos El Tio # 1 — Restaurant in Bellflower

Okay so ive already given this place 5 stars just because their food is simply delicious to me and my family have been coming here for 10 plus years. But yesterday visit i was pretty surprised this is about the conduct of one of the workers not the food. The food NEVER dissapoints. My husband and i decided to eat in the patio since we were eating on your way somewhere. We usually take food to go or eat in our car. I notice the table we were going to sit on was dirty with dried salsa residue from a past customer. I asked if they can clean the table since Covid standards they should have sanitizing procedures in place. The blond lady with the colored eyes (btw always looks mad but after years of seeing her there i notice that is just her face) she literally handed me a dingy red towel wet with water i hope, a roll of paper towels, and a blue spray. I was SURPRISED i had to clean and sanitize my own table!! i still cleaned it as a favor to the next customers coming in but when they gave our food i decided to have them pack it to go and we ate in the car. The first time we went there, the young lady was polite and made my friend and I feel welcome.

The third time, it was a different the young lady who was not as welcoming. She appeared annoyed for having to take our order.

The food is great, and that was the only reason we didn't just walk away.

We did not go back, although I loved their authentic Mexican food; I didn't feel comfortable returning.

The young lady's unfriendliness caused the business owner to lose us as customers.

I hope the owner figures out which young lady I am referring to, to avoid losing more customers.

I forgot to ask the lady's name, but she's sweet and such a kind person.

So I bought a few tacos for the workers and about 20-30 minutes later all my workers are throwing up or spending large amounts of time in the rest room. I went back to ask for the manager ( a cashier came) and to explain what had happened and one worker called me crazy. Another said "f" you and another said I'm lying. I immediately asked for the manager and they said that there was no manager and nobody in charge. And then I asked what could I do then and they replied "nothing". And so I pulled out my camera and basically asked all the same questions again and none of them answered. A few said some foul things in Spanish but that's about it. This has to be the worst and most filthy food place I have ever been too. Seriously, none of them (all food handlers) were wearing gloves. Which angered me even more by the way. A place worthy...
