Northwater Restaurant — Restaurant in Bellingham

We were in town to visit our great aunt and uncle. These folks are in their late 80s and 90s. We received the worst service I have ever gotten in any restaurant ever. The server came as soon as we were seated and took our drink order. It took a half hour for her to come back with the drinks and ask our appetizer order. We put in our order for apps and dinner. It took another half hour for our cheese plate and Ceasar salad to come. Our entrées didn't come for another 2 hours after the appetizers. The restaurant was nearly empty, I was with a party of 7 total people, including 2 very elderly people, the few tables that were there seemed to have their dining experience in a total normal amount of time. The server never apologized, offered any explanation or any kind of discount or comp. In fact she added the 20% gratuity for a party of 6 or more. The food was pretty good, it probably would have been better if we got it hot. Overall a very frustrating experience. Honestly I was mostly appalled at treating old people so poorly. We took a 92 year old out for a "late" dinner at 6 o'clock and didn't leave the restaurant until 10:30, and not because we were just having that good of a time. I...

I went there in hopes of having a good overall experience, which isn’t at all what I got. The bartender seemed to be super stressed out, and they had him serving tables as well as making all the drinks which orders were steadily flowing in for. He was cussing under his breath when another ticket would come in, was overly aggressive with the shaking of the mixed beverages, and was literally slamming things down. If I worked with him I sure would have been intimidated to ask for something or heaven forbid make a mistake. As a customer I didn’t want to order another drink because clearly he was not happy to be making any at that point. The food was really good, at least the clams were. I wish it was a bigger portion, maybe there another option of it’s not Sunday Happy Hour, but it was delicious. Since the drinks were made with such hostility, I’m not sure if that’s what made them not my favorite, and the sugar around the glass was mixed with salt. My 2nd drink was better than my first. Food was good Bar server was fantastic She (name started with J) (I called her Courtney😁) was simply fantastic Very good at this job, took great care of us and had a few laughs Breakfast was also pretty good, Tuesday breakfast server was fantastic, Wednesday breakfast server was there...but other 2 gals made up for her lack of service with exceptional service Courtney aka (don't remember) had a guy helping her on Tuesday He was also good server

Rooms were perfect Beds amazing Clean as a whistle

Check in on Monday night was perfect Tony lil gal with dark hair...she busted us thru the check process very quickly and gave us a complete run down of hotel and services
