El Patrón Taco Truck — Restaurant in Belton

This WAS my favorite food truck I went there a couple weeks ago but prior to that I would call ahead. That day I called 30 min before closing just so I could pick it up instead of driving there and ordering later. I called at least 5 times and it rang but no answer. I drove there and was there by 10:45 and went up to the window and I asked the young man if he was still taking orders and he said “Nah I’m sorry we’re closed” and I told him that I was trying to call before to have it ready and he proceeded to tell me that the phone was dead (but obviously it rang for a while) so I told him “it’s okay I’ll just go somewhere else” and then he said “I got you this time bro” but I just left and didn’t bother to dispute. I work in the restaurant business as well and I know sometimes we want to get out as soon as possible but if the closing time says 11:00 pm why close way before? I usually spend between $40-50dollars at a time there but I think I’ll take my business...

El Patrón catered my father in law’s celebration of life and I cannot begin to recommend them enough. Miguel is AMAZING. He is extremely friendly, easy to communicate with and the food…Oh My God the food. Amazing. We got the Taquiza with pastor, asada and chicken tacos, arroz and beans (SO AMAZING), salsas, cilantro and onions, grilled onions & chiles toreados (lol, so many people got a hot surprise with those), cucumbers and limes. People were raving about the food, how I’d found them and asking for their info. So much so, they ran out of cards so I had to share Miguel’s number with several of them. I snuck some to go boxes and I’m so happy we’re having that for dinner tonight. The food is flavorful and authentic. If you can go to their food truck, go. NOW. I live just 5 minutes away and can literally smell El Patrón Taco Truck from my house — and let me tell you, it smells just as amazing as it tastes!

I first came across a Facebook post from a news reporter talking about this truck, and I knew I had to try it. And wow… Y’ALL, don’t walk — RUN to this truck! 🚶‍♀️💨🌮

The QuesaBirria tacos are LIFE. Hands down the BEST I have EVER had. 🔥🤤

On top of the incredible food, the service was just as amazing! Everyone was so kind and appreciative, and you can truly taste the love the cook puts into every bite. ❤️
