Ned's Diner — Restaurant in Belvidere Township

After a somewhat exhaustive search of local breakfast spots while creating a weekly tradition of having breakfast with my dad, we have crowned Ned’s as the, in our opinions, best breakfast spot in the area. The food is excellent and of high quality and the service is attentive and fast. Ned’s has by far the quickest and most frequent coffee cup refilling, which with diner coffee is often a more important metric than taste or quality, but again here is another point for Ned’s, because their coffee is very good. Ned’s location is another plus for me, it may be a tiny hike for you if you live in central or western Rockford, but it’s worth it to get out of the urban jungle for a bit. It’s close enough but also feels like a trip to the county. A final metric of rating breakfast places for me is how often my dad angrily looks around for where his food or the wait staff are, and in this, Ned’s scores a perfect 10/10 rating for zero times of my dad...

I recently stopped by Ned's, and had a solid dining experience. The diner is very clean and well-kept, which is always a great first impression. Everything felt neat and tidy, creating a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere.

The service was quite quick, even during a busy time, which I appreciated. The large menu offers a wide variety of options, so there’s something for everyone, whether you're craving breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

I decided to try the Turkey Bacon Club with fries, and it was a good choice. The sandwich was packed with a generous amount of turkey and crispy bacon, and the fries were tasty and nicely seasoned. For the portion size and quality, I’d say it was a good value for the money.

Overall, Ned's Diner is a great spot for a quick, casual meal with a lot of choices. While there’s always room for improvement, I had a good experience and would definitely consider...

Where the coffee is always hot and the cream is always fresh. This Resturaunt is fabulous! Large portions and high quality on anything you order. I am originally from Chicago and accustomed to a variety of foods....Neds' has that too. Neds took care of sanitation perfectly before the pandemic...they now have outside seating with pretty umbrellas. Inside there are plexi glass shields between the booths. I appreciate the care they take inside and out. If you like slots they have those....freshly squeezed orange juice for each glass and yes I have tasted their cocktails! Artsy, delicious presentation!...I go almost everyday.....more if I could. Many seniors go for their great " Lifescape Menu " 65 and older....ask when you go.
