On Friday (10-10-25) I purchased a small coffee from their order window. Well, my small coffee came with a side of snarky attitude too! I had asked for a second lid, and the lady at the order window said to me “that’ll be an extra 50 cents, you know everything cost money”! Saying it with a snarky tone to it! So, I paid the extra 50 cents and went on my way to my vehicle. As I was about to get onto my vehicle, I had a lady approach me and told me that she was just about to order herself some coffee as well, and she had overheard the folks at the order window making fun of me about buying another lid…etc. This customer who told me this, told them at the order window “well, you just lost yourself a customer” and she walked away without ordering her coffee. After this disgruntled customer told me this…I turned around went straight back to this same lady at the order window, and said to her “not only have you lost a new customer, but I’ll never purchase anything from them ever again (just on principle alone)! Several minutes before I had ordered my coffee at the order window, I had purchased one of their ‘Elk Life’ stickers. Well, I went back into the store, laid my sticker down on the counter and said I would never represent their company by placing their sticker anywhere. I didn’t even care about getting my money back for the sticker. It does NOT ever pay to be rude to a paying customer. I’ve been in the service industry for 40+ decades. Not only did you loss one customer, you just lost two in a matter of minutes because of your...
Read moreMy family loves Elk Life. The service is amazing and always friendly. We live almost 2 hours away and every time we go to Benezette, Elk Life is a “must.” We typically go on Sundays after staying at our camp before returning home. The service, atmosphere, food, and shopping are wonderful. Tonight (12/1/2023), Elk Life hosted a Christmas event with Santa, Benny (the elk), and 2 Grinches. We drove almost 3.5 hours just for this event because we love everything about Elk Life. The service was exceptional even with the enormous turnout. The gift bags for the children were stuffed full. They also provided the guests with hot cocoa and hot dogs, free of charge. Their kindness to new and returning customers never ceases to amaze me. If you get a chance when you’re in the area, stop in and check out their quality merchandise, great food, and...
Read moreThe lady with short hair in the gift shop on this date was very embarrassing and rude to me. I purchased a cup, carried the bag to the deck and ordered food and a drink, was going to put my drink in my cup and noticed the lid was broken. I went back into the gift shop and let her know that the lid was broke. I hadn’t noticed it. She embarrassed me by saying that she rang it up and put it in the bag and it was fine when I let her know that it obviously wasn’t because I just removed it from the bag. She told me to get another one and then continued in front of other customers blaming me for breaking it. I was appalled with her behavior And hope she not only sees this review, but also views the cameras to see that she was very unprofessional and that I pulled the cup out of my bag and it...
