Went to check this place out after going to Groovy Plants ranch! I was expecting a typical Mexican restaurant, and was a little surprised when we first pulled up. Itās definitely a smaller place, giving more mom/pop which isnāt a bad thing
The guy that helped us order was very nice and patient considering we had no idea what we wanted. He also suggested the horchata. Itās the best my partner and I have ever had.. YOU HAVE TO TRY IT. I got one for the ride home after trying his lol.. I wish this place was closer
I ordered the Cali burrito and my bf ordered a quesadilla. Iām used to getting sides with entrees, but honestly the burrito was huge and Iām not complaining at all.
It felt like that scene in Ratatouille, being able to taste the guac, pico, queso.. literally all the ingredients of the burrito. Usually I feel like a burrito with queso is COVERED (which I love) but I donāt taste everything in it as much. Not the case here.. Their ingredients are really fresh and the steak was amazing. 10/10
Of course I also stole a bite of the quesadilla.. their chicken is really, really good. We got chips and queso, and liked it too.
I asked for salsa. They have three levels of spice, and I had to keep going back for a less spicy one lol.. they were very nice and asked me how it all was. I think all their salsas are a bit too much for me. My only tiny complaint is I missed the sweetish spicy red salsa Iāve gotten from other places! It comes in comically small dipping cups too but it was a good laugh. Definitely worth a try
Overall, I loved the staff. The energy was great and I could tell all the food was cooked with love. We said we will be hitting this place again for when we come back to Groovy Plant Ranch
Thank you guys for the experience and awesome food
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI'm a bit of a difficult customer. Because of my gout and celiac disease, most restaurants are at best a gamble for me to eat at.
Abuelos Mexican Grill, well, the person behind the counter didn't know what celiac disease was. So, once again I started the discussion on what I could and could not eat and that the meal had to be meat free. You see, I had my first gout attack in 4 years about 3 weeks ago.
Well, we settled on the Loaded Nest Fries with no meat. The chef fried up some extra onions and green peppers. The food was flavorful and the quantity was more than enough. The two folks working there put together a meal for me that satisfied me in every way. size is noted by many, you could mention whether you left some or felt it was just right ā that tends to get positive reactions.
If you ended up taking leftovers or sharing, that aligns with what others say about portions being generous.
If your service was particularly friendly or quick, that echoes the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMe, my wife, and two of my kids got food at the drive-through here. We Got the birria tacos , A chimichanga, and a quesadilla for the kids. My kids usually donāt eat the quesadilla, but Iām always hopeful. They ante every bite of it this time. We of course helped ourselves with their fries as well, and everyone thought they were delicious. The chimichanga is much more robust than Iām used to, being very large in sporting rice, Beans, meat, and a couple of other things I canāt recall. My wife loved The tacos, Especially dipped in the birria sauce. We spoke with Luis In the drive-through and he gave a very helpful and thorough look at the menu. He also gave us the opportunity to try the sauces, of which I personally recommend the medium/yellow Sauce if you like hot food. We will...
