Definitely some of the best food and flavor that you can find in not only Bennington but all of Vermont. This was the third time I've ordered from them and it was first time at the new spot. It's been really good everything and today was no different/ in fact it was outstanding. I ordered a combo jerk chicken with oxtail / large dinner and a side of rice and peas( beans) for the wife. It came to about 32 bucks/ 24 for the plate/ 6 for the side and tax. It was so good/ well worth it just for taste alone. There was a decent amount of oxtail/ a piece of jerk chicken breast/ couple plantain slices/ sautéed cabbage carrot/ and plenty of rice and peas with also another type of bean maybe butter bean I don't know/ I asked for a small side of the spicy jerk bbq sauce( unbelievably good sauce!) That's a must have/ when you get a scoop of the rice with the oxtail gravy and some cabbage and beans in there it's outstanding and basically just leave me the hell alone don't look at me don't talk to me don't ask me nothing /just let me hammer down and eat my food. I wouldn't hesitate to try the whole menu I know it's gonna be good. Treat yourself go and get some of this/ they didn't have any patties/ next time hopefully. They have tables and a bar so you can dine in also/ very nice space . Best of luck to the owners/ hoping they...
Read moreMy coworker and I got lunch at your new location today for the first time. I knew the moment I walked in that your restaurant is authentic and is serious about delivering genuinely amazing Jamaican dishes. I got the curry goat dish and my coworker had the jerk chicken. I was so blown away by how delicious your food is that a few hours later I had to make an order for takeout for dinner. I ordered the steamed fish in curry and coconut milk. It was absolutely incredible. Thank you for bringing such a gift to this town. I’m only in Bennington a couple days every other week but visiting your establishment during each one of those visits is going to be a priority of...
Read moreIt's always great to see new people move to town and open a business, but to watch them grow? Island Flavor started as a much smaller, take-out spot but has grown into a new, sit-down building with the best vibes and a great selection of retail items. Everyone is friendly, the restaurant is always clean and the food is unmatched. Huge portions of authentic jamaican food that's always hot, fresh and served with a smile. Love having Island Flavor here...
