I’ve had two experiences here. The first my husband and I dined in. We were new to the area and ordered off a specialty menu for the area celebrating local foods. The main courses weren’t great. The drinks were delicious and the highlight was the poutine which we had never even hear of let alone eaten. But it was phenomenal. Fast forward a few months, I’m 4 months pregnant and was craving the poutine. That’s all we ordered and my husband drove 20 minutes to get it, got back and realized there was no gravy on it and the egg was very undercooked and the fries were burnt. (The gravy is the best part of the poutine!) After calling he was told the order said no gravy. He drove there and the most they would do is give us a tiny little cup of gravy because “the meat is too expensive…” I would’ve been happy without the meat honestly because they do give quite a bit but they were set on just the side of gravy. By the time he got back the food was cold and there wasn’t even enough gravy for the whole thing… The poutine is great if you order it fresh. Not sure...
Read moreWe really enjoyed our meal, and although they were a bit short staffed we had really great service from Samantha! We could tell that she was hustling to accomplish everything she had to do, but she still took time to chat with us about the menu and drinks, and brought us things as soon as we asked for them! The restaurant was out of a couple items we really wanted to try which is the only reason we can’t give a 5 star rating. Maybe just erase a dish from the specials board when it becomes unavailable so the patrons don’t base their meal choice on that item and then have to shift to something else at the last minute? Also, informing the staff when things run out so they can tell people when they hand them their menu would be helpful-it just gives a heads up and leaves people feeling better about their experience. We hope to visit again when we’re...
Read moreTried this restaurant since it's our first time in the area. I ordered meat platter, which consists of pulled pork, brisket, and chopped pork. Needless to say, everything in the platter was dry especially the Brisket, the Brisket was really dry, looked old, and tasted unedible. The waiter was nice enough to offer a second one but it was still dry, and they were no barbeque sauce on the platter or on the table. For $39.99 platter meal, I was expecting high but no it was such a disappointment. We will never come back again. Their mashed potatoes was really good and Mac and cheese was good. Fair warning do not order the meat platter expensive and tastes dry and no flavor and also expect no barbeque sauce either. I would recommend else where if you're around the area. This place is not...
