We try to support local, but when the local business doesn't want your business it's time to speak up. My husband and I came out to the winery just to share a bottle of wine and enjoy the beautiful grounds at Terra Blanca. We told the hostess we were just going to get a bottle and wanted to sit outside to enjoy the day. The young man at the tasting counter was very professional and helpful and once we had our bottle we headed outside. We found a table out in the sun and began to relax. Not even a couple minutes had passed and a different employee came and asked us if we had seen the hostess, we said we had checked in. She proclaimed certain tables were reserved for the grill restaurant and that we had to move because this table was apparently hers and we had not asked to sit in the grill seating. We told her we wanted a table in the sun so she promptly moved us to the interior courtyard with a minimal view of the grounds. We were the only ones seated in this area. It's like we were not good enough for them; like we didn't belong. We were treated rudely. Never offered water or even if we wanted to stay seated in the grill and provided menus. My husband was not happy at all with the service and went back inside to speak up. The hostess told him that there was a corvette club coming that afternoon and they had tables already reserved. My husband quickly responded, "so my money isn't good enough for you, I have to drive a corvette to get seated at a better table?" So we sat isolated in the courtyard, still with no water. The hostess walked by the opening with another employee a few minutes later, who both looked at us and smirked. Then passed back by on the way into the building. Again, never apologizing, offering us water or if we needed anything else. My husband called out to the other gal with the hostess and asked for the managers name. Darrell; if that's your name, you will be getting a call from me. We've visited Terra Blanca many times for the wine and the views, even purchased a case of wine once. But this experience has left such an awful taste with us. We will never be back. And we will make sure to let our friends and family know of the poor treatment and lack of service. Clearly you don't care about taking care of the little guys, only the ones who have big...
Read moreTerra Blanca Winery it's an amazing place but we had a bad experienced with one of the bar tender, we know it was our fault for taking a pictures by the door because we were amazed and we apologized, but he was being rude! He didn't have to be rude the way he said it was like scolding us like we are not a customers. Telling us to leave but we were waiting for our food that we ordered. I would give them 1 star 😩 and they didn't even make us feel like we were wanted in that place, they didn't even say something that would make us feel better like how can we make it up to you guys? maybe because we are not American? Is it because We are Asians? Who knows.. He could have said like excuse me ladies please don't stand close by the door because we are worried that someone might push the door and hit you girls. But he opened the door with his angry faced and said don't stand by the door for pictures! You can do it quickly and then leave! Now we would have reacted differently because we did understand it was our fault and we did apologized! We are always so nice to everyone, just don't treat us like we are not belong. If we did something wrong we...
Read moreI attended a wedding here in September of 2014 (yes, I know it's been a while, but this is a much deserved review). My review is based solely on the customer service, food, drinks, etc. received as a guest at the wedding.
The outdoor and indoor settings and ambience are incredibly beautiful. The area where the wedding took place was a small courtyard near the winery building, and we walked up through a covered pathway after the ceremony had taken place. The scenery was gorgeous, and the winery itself was nice and cool after the heat of the outdoors.
The hor d'oeuvres and beer were delicious. I'm still trying to replicate the mini pear/jalapeno tarts we were served - those were so tasty. I'm not sure if the winery prepared the food, or if another company catered, but either way, it was very good.
The servers and management were also great at anticipating any needs we had, including storage of a couple of items before the wedding and access to our vehicles during the reception.
Everything seemed to go very smoothly. If I'm in the area, I'll likely stop by for a tasting or to see if they are serving any food (fingers crossed for the...
