Belew's Dairy Bar — Restaurant in Benton

I've been going here all my life and cince new ownership took over the place isn't the same. Hours cut dramatically and menu cut items . I hope they extend the operation Hours and rethink there menu options. Food was still good though it took much longer to get

orders than we was told. Adding to this review today June 23 2025 tonight we went and simply ordered a chuckwagon on white bread not toasted add tomato and mayo. It was served on a bun and not white bread. Grayson ordered a chicken sandwich and it came out cool not hot and a milkshake and it wasn't good and wasn't drink. Lindy ordered the same and the same result shake wasn't good nor was the chicken sandwich and neither are being eaten. Just last week ordered a cheeseburger wasn't good either no more eating there until new ownership or management is in charge because since Ronnie underhill sold it the place year by year has gotten worse and prices have gone up across the board. We will be driving the extra milage and going to Duncan's market off of 94 c towards Murray Kentucky and owned by miss Kathy and their burgers and sides still taste like the original and their prices are good and service is top notch and you can dine inside they take credit cards and cash and I highly recommend Duncan's market if you want the original. Please drive the extra mile to Duncan's market and patronize miss Kathy and her crew and you won't be disappointed. Belews get your act together and your food quality back and maybe you won't run your business...

Took a mid week trip to KY Lake with the Family and stayed in a House Lakefront. Talk about middle of nowhere, which is what we wanted. We ate the majority of our meals at home but decided to take the 20 Min drive from the house to Belews.

Of course I looked up reviews before we came and I really loved that it has amazing reviews. I was pretty excited to try the food and the atmosphere.

First, it was HOT. I knew it was a "drive-in" but we had 2 cars full of family so we got out and sat at the tables that surround the restaurant. It was shaded and there were fans but whew I was glad they had ice cream.

Prices are amazing per item but one you get a main, side and drink, it's pretty much average price of takeout.

I got burger, with everything, a side of fries and a diet coke. The burger was good. Nothing memorable about it other than I thought it was heavy on mustard. Fries were standard crinkle fries. Overall it was a basic meal with a neat environment. Ice cream was good especially because it was hot but again not memorable.

I will say what was memorable was the waitress. They were out there busting their tails in 100 degree heat, made hotter from the cars they were delivering to. I was impressed because I don't think I could do it at all let alone with a smile.

I might go again if at the lake again but maybe later in the summer...

Food was delicious. I got the shrimp basket and onion rings. I do not like fried shrimp unless I make it I'm so picky😂😂 But they had delicious shrimp so I'm happy I went outside my normal burger routine. Which is another delicious menu item they have. Kinda sad on the proportion of onion rings I ordered. It can get pretty crazy there but them ladies do not disappoint. With the volume of people they had both in the parking lot and the very nice very large covered area with tables where you can sit..we actually got our food in a decent time. I wish they could bring us our drinks first though lol. So maybe 2 tiny things I'd change but other then that I'd definitely recommend you bring yourself,your kids,your lover or whoever you want here.
