Honey & Clove Bistro — Restaurant in Benton

There was 7 in our group. We arrived around 6 pm. There were customers at 3 or 4 other tables. The waitress did a great job with her part of the service. The atmosphere was fine. Everything was clean and well kept. The biggest issue was the time to get the food after it was ordered and the quality of the food. We ordered a variety of dishes. It took much too long for the food to come out. Once the food arrived some of the food was good and some was over cooked. A buger, a chicken plate, a fish plate, a child's chicken nuggets and a steak salad were fine. We had two orders of chicken fingers that were way over cooked. It was so over cooked you could see it as they were carrying the plates to the table. The restaurant closes at 7 pm and it was after 6;30 when the food arrived so we didn't bother sending it back. It seemed to be a nice place. The manager needs to address the time for food coming out after it is ordered and the issue of some food being way...

This is a new restaurant in my community. I haven’t visited until today. Not out of worry, but due to my personal schedule.

Wow. Just wow. After a glance over the menu, I immediately was drawn towards the Parmesan penne pasta, and for only $2 I was able to add a perfectly cooked medium steak to it. The grape tomato’s and carmelized onions paired with perfectly cooked pasta…. Mouth watering. Huge portions! The hubby got the chicken club! The slice of Gouda cheese on it was creamy and thick!!!

Our order was to go… but after walking inside the building… we’ve both decided our next date will be there! (I manage a different local eatery, and I travel often and a 5 star review is hard for me) They earned it! Great job, Sophia and team! Just wait, before long people will be knocking down your doors!

We had dinner at the Honey & Clove Bistro tonight in Benton.

I must say, I’m surprised Polk County is home to such a nice restaurant. We had the BEST meal — I got a huge burger, my wife got this amazing grilled chicken pasta, and we shared a brownie with ice cream for dessert. We ate for under $30 which is more than fair these days. Our server was nice, the atmosphere was very comforting and “homey.” We played Checkers and Connect 4 while waiting for our food, which came out hot and exactly the way we ordered it. The food was absolutely delicious. Some of the best thick-cut French fries I’ve ever had. My wife loved her pasta and my burger was also tasty. We will be back soon. Can’t recommend it enough!
