Why did I give sonic a one ⭐ star ..... The last couple of wks I've stopped in there just for a drink , yes it's between the hrs of 2-4:00 pm drinks 1/2 price . So I'm gonna expect a wait (bc it seems to be the " New Normal of things given COVID now days, so that's that's " ). I push the red button waiting .... waiting...waiting ... The red button goes off I wait a couple of minutes I push the red button again. Waited again same thing happens. I push the red button again. It's been like 20 minutes. Finally I get some help . I order my drinks. Coke Dr pepper. 15 minutes later I get my drinks . He doesn't know which is which when I ask . He suggested I smell them bc Dr pepper has a smell. Uhmmm tell me do they sniff my drinks when there not sure before they bring them out ? And also there is hardly any ice . So a few days later I go back . The same song and dance with pushing the red button. Except 30 minutes goes by .! No one asks for my order Im trying to be understanding here I see 2-3 waitress waiters it's not packed out here . I understand there could be new ppl and there training however pick up the pace smile the wait time is way to long I normally go through daily 2 --3 times a WK but not the past couple of wks I'd lose my job for being...
Read moreThis Sonic sucks and always has. These other reviews with high scores either got lucky, or they know someone there and trying to make the store look good, because this is a very small town. I just got off the phone with corporate with this complaint and thought I would throw it online to warn others. I have lived here for going on 15 years, and I have never gotten a good anything from here. This Sonic is and always has been run with kids that take absolutely NO pride in what they do. Soggy burgers, way too much or not enough flavoring in slushes, either way, it's never mixed, just blobbed on top. I personally NEVER goto this location, due to lack of options my wife sometimes does. But I think after this last visit, she will finally stop going here. This place always has and will continue to give Sonic a bad name. When the mgr is a local kid with no pride in their job you can not expect the problem to be fixed. Get a mgr in there that is not scared to stand up to a kid, or is not a "friend" of the employees, and you may see different results.....I gave 1 star ONLY to be able to comment, this store isn't worth the 1 I gave them! Read moreI want to, after two years, update my review. I have had a recurring issue with my sonic app. And I experienced a few instances where an employee was reluctant to assist me with my order and honor the app price. I was willing to show that I was paying with the same card that's on my app... I have never been denied this service at any other sonic.
I kindly asked to speak to a manager about this, because I have frequented this sonic 100's of times and all 3 sonics in Cleveland that I'm aware of...and Sonics all over the US.
Ken (I believe is his name), came out to speak with me about it and we spent the next 20 minutes in conversation like old friends.
If this location is as successful as I think it is, Ken is the reason. Having spent many years in the hospitality industry, in management, Ken embodied exactly what I would want in the person leading the store if it were mine.
Ken gets 5⭐️'s and I still love Sonic as much as ever.
