HORRIBLE!! I placed a delivery order for 2 large pizzas- one cheese, one pepperoni at 5:35p from the Marcos App. I received a confirmation email that gave an ETA of 6:30p delivery time. Along the way, I received email updates and at 6:19p, I received an email stating that the order is "ready". We waited, and when 6:30p had come and gone, finally at 6:48p, I called the store and was immediately placed on an 11 minute hold. I hung up and called back, and again was immediately placed on another hold, so I hung up and called a 3rd time at 7:01p when I pleaded with the worker to not to put me on hold. At this time, my order had been "ready" for 40 minutes! I told him that my order was done at 6:19p and asked if there was a mistake and maybe it was sitting in the store and not out for delivery (at this point, I would have picked it up myself). He said that it was out for delivery at that time and it should be here soon.
Immediately after I hung up the phone, I received a text from DoorDash saying that the delivery driver was at the store. I never used DoorDash or contacted them as I ordered directly through the Marcos app, so I was super confused. I don't even know how DoorDash received my contact information! At 7:17p, I received a call from a DoorDash person saying that she doesn't have my order info within DoorDash. I explained that I never ordered through DoorDash and don't even know how they got involved. She was just as confused as me and said she would call DoorDash to see what she should do. Then I received another text at 7:22p stating "Your Dasher has picked up your order! The order should arrive at 7:48p".
As a reminder, I ordered the food at 5:35p, received an email at 6:19p that it was "ready", and now I'm being told that I will receive it at 7:48p?? Over 2 HOURS from order time, and nearly 1.5 hours after it was "ready" from the store?? The door dasher arrived to my house with the delivery at 7:38p and, no surprise, THE PIZZA WAS COLD and looked terrible...like it has been sitting for 1.5 hours!!!! The door dasher was very confused about the entire situation as well. I mean, at LEAST they could have made me a fresh pizza after they realized their mistake!
I have NEVER in all my years, had as awful of an experience as this was!! I will give negative reviews on all platforms that I can, because this was a terrible product, terrible quality, and terrible service on all fronts. I will also make sure to never give my money to any Marcos Pizzas again. I hope this information finds its way to the manager and owner of this facility so they know the horrible quality that is being put out from...
Read moreI wanted to take a moment to respond to Ms. Teresa. I am Nick and am the owner of Marco's. Ms. Teresa has ordered here almost weekly since we opened three years ago. Like clockwork, almost every single order she places has some type of issue, including today.
We work tirelessly to not only satisfy our customers, but to exceed their expectations. Yes, we make mistakes sometimes. And when we do, we 100% make it right. Be it a free meal, a refund, or whatever it takes to make sure the customer's needs are met. We value each and every customer and understand that you work hard for your money and deserve to have it bring full value to you when you choose to spend it with us.
Unfortunately, sometimes a customer's needs cannot be met. In the case of Teresa, we sincerely apologize that every week your pizza would have some type of issue. From too much sauce, to not enough sauce, to baked too long, to not baked enough, to not cut evenly, I apologize. I have personally made your pizzas. I have personally delivered to your home. I have tried everything I can to satisfy you. We clearly cannot meet your needs. As such, please order from one of our competitors.
I would like the crew and myself to be able to focus on what we do best; making delicious pizzas for our customers and seeing them smile with delight! We appreciate your business the last three years.
Some may think it is odd or inappropriate to defend my business on a review page. We value each and every customer we have. And, I value the effort my crew members put in working as hard as they do. Every employee here is committed and empowered to exceed the expectations of our guests' needs. If you ever have an issue, please call the shop. We will 100% make it right.
Thanks to everyone who supports our business. We love serving the community and helping to mentor our young employees.
In the interest of full disclosure, I scored Marco's 4/5 stars. I didn't want to give it 5 stars when it is currently at 3.5. You have to have at least one star to leave a comment, so I placed it near...
Read moreSKIP THIS PLACE - I have never ordered from Marco's before but since we just moved down the street from them I thought I would try. I stayed simple with the order and ordered a large regular crust supreme pizza, cheezy bread and a 12" White Italiano sandwich. Just enough for me, my wife and two teen children.
When I got home 5 mins later I laid the food out on the kitchen counter for everyone to fix their own plate and we did. About 20 mins later we all returned to throw away our uneaten food. Kids and wife complained the Cheezy bread was so gummy it stuck to the roof of their mouth. The Italiano sandwich my son and I split, we both had wilted lettuce we had to remove it and the tomatoes. I only had three bites of mine but there was so much oil and spices and I am still picking spices (oregano, basil, etc) out from between my teeth 20 mins later.
The toppings on the pizza were not that bad (mushroom, pepperoni, not sure what the sausage is) but the tomato sauce was burnt and they used the same gummy dough as the cheezy bread. Their pizza dough was so gummy, it was almost like eating burnt ketchup on a slice of untoasted texas toast.
Also they squirt so much oil on the pizza they have to place a cardboard sponge under the pizza to help soak up the oil. This oil leaves a really bad after taste and I am not sure why they feel more oil was needed to a already greasy mess.
My son was actually laughing at how the picture of the Cheezy Bread on the box and the Cheezy Bread in the box looked "nothing" alike.
FYi - All they serve to drink is pepsi product.
Just threw away "in the garbage can" full Cheezy bread less 2 pieces, 1/2 of a 12' sub sandwich and 3/4 of large pizza (my dog wouldn't try to taste.....no my dog wouldn't even lick it) - Lesson learned, at the cost of $37, not my family's...
