Ranch House — Restaurant in Berlin Township

We walked in and sat at a table in the bar room. waitress looked at us smiled, started to walk over stopped at a table next to us talked for a while, cleaned off their table brought a drink back to them, and looked at us again. Then she looked at the bar apparently seen someone she knew walked away leaned on the bar talking looked at us again, I smiled and waved to her she continued to talk to the customer at the bar. We waited 10 minute, and yes it was 10 minutes with no service at all, made eye contact three times plus I waved her over and still no service. I was furious and left after being ignored. While the service was excellent and our waitress was wonderful, the food lacked in quality. My boyfriend had the burger, and I had the Reuben sandwich. He never complains about a burger, but my sandwich and fries were not up to par. It was very obvious the corned beef was cold cuts you buy in a package at the grocery store, and the fries were frozen out of a bag. The sandwich was very thin also, lacking much (packaged) meat, with barely noticeable sauerkraut on it (I didn’t even taste it in the sandwich). I paid over $16 for this!!! Great place to eat breakfast lunch or dinner. We learned that Val just took the place over about a month ago and all I can say is great job. Keep doing what you’re doing because our dinner was excellent. Highlight of the meal for me was my fried chicken. Very rarely do you get pan fried chicken that tastes like homemade. That is what we got and it was amazing. Our waitress Rochelle was super cool and very helpful. She was very attentive to us and our children. She made our family feel welcomed.
