The only good thing about this restaurant was my waitress Kristen Jones.. She was attentive and a total sweetheart. Now let me get to the reason i'm writing this review...the "manager" Latoya was one of the rudest, most ignorant humans I've encountered. I'm also not one of those people who complains just to complain but I was made to feel totally embarrassed and disrespected in a place I was paying to dine at. (I also waitressed and bartended for years so I am extremely kind and respectful to my servers) I am diabetic and have a service dog to alert me, as I blackout and loose consciousness due to low blood sugar. I had my service dog with me who is certified, perfectly trained, and sleeps in a tiny ball in my lap whenever we are at a restaurant. The manager clearly saw me walk in with him. She waited until she brought our lunches to our table to point at my little guy and say "it cant be in here". I informed her he is a service dog. She then very nastily demanded to see proof. I informed her that's not legal to ask (it's common knowledge to business owners the only 2 questions you can ask are 1. Is that a service animal? 2. What task does the animal perform?) When I told her that it is not legal to ask for his documents, she smirked, looked at me and said "ok, let me see your documents " a second time in such an unkind manner. I could tell she didn't believe he was a service animal, so the only reason I pulled his card out was to wipe the smug look off her face. (I was also starving and wanted to eat...i did not yet know the flank steak was as chewy as a leather shoe sole) She put our food down and walked away without apologizing or saying anything. I've dealt with people being rude to me and making me feel embarrassed before...but NEVER a manager who should maintain a professional demeanor to PAYING CUSTOMERS. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone, especially if you have a disability or any type of common sense. The only good thing about this restaurant was Kristen and the exit door. Service docked one point for Latoya's attitude and lack of professionalism but my waitress was extremely apologetic . I've learned in life people who hate themselves generally take it out on those who are happy. Pray for Latoya if you read this, she can use all the help...
Read moreWe were regulars up until our last experience. A quick google search said that the restaurant closed at 10pm. We got there at 8 and were done by 8: 35. We waited a few minutes for a box for leftovers, packed them and tried to finish up our drinks when moments later loud, obnoxious music started blaring and staff (who looked very annoyed) started cleaning around us. As anyone with common sense would, I took the hint they were closing and left with no issue. However, this left a very sour taste in my mouth because 1) your posted hours said 10pm close and 2) it was only 8:47 when we were essentially kicked out even if the closing time was supposed to be 9pm. We were very confused and even a little offended because cleared the table so it could be easily cleaned, tipped very well. I understand wanting to go home at a reasonable time, but that was unnecessary. A quick “just so you know we close at 9 PM”would have sufficed… the food is good but we most likely...
Read moreCute restaurant feels like a diner. Pleasant, excellent service and noticed the same for tables/booths around us. Great menu, only item missing for a place like this is onion rings!!! We shared lunch of cheesesteak with kettle chips and blackened shrimp tacos with the most delicious, creamy mac and cheese. Their "3 day cheesesteak" was the best we've had EVER in seasoning and flavor with blended cheese sauce, caramelized onions on a lightly toasted Italian roll. Blackened shrimp tacos were excellent on a grilled flour tortilla. Their key lime pie is the best I've had including ones from FL. Chocolate Mississippi mud pie is good and rich for chocoholics in their take of brownie bottom, thick mouse and Ganache topping. They serve Pepsi products(we like coke) but their iced tea is fresh and great. Not expensive, but not cheap and worth every penny! Our new mom and daughter lunch place!!!! The pic of cheesesteak was taken when almost gone, better than...
