Stephen Decatur Park — Attraction in Berlin

We love stopping at this park to play a round of disc golf every year when we head home from our vacation at PRSP. It's a great way to end our time in MD. There are things for people of all ages to enjoy--a nice footpath, a playground, disc golf course, etc.

From what I could tell, the restrooms are porta-potty, but in an area where public restrooms seem to be few and far between, a well-placed porta-potty is welcomed! I had to pay to use a restroom at Burger King in OC, so free at the park is fine with me.

The disc golf course is pretty decent, though finding the starting hole from the parking lot was harder than we expected. Perhaps there's a course map there somewhere, but I'm not sure. My sons and I really enjoy playing here, even though I always end up in the muddy ditch on hole 2, no...

I really liked the play area here. Some of it reminded me of the American ninja warrior obstacles. The park had a variety of things for kids to do. It is about 20-25 minutes from Ocean city M.D. I would have given it 5 stars but the park needed a little landscape TLC and there were a few teenagers that were too obnoxious for my kids to hear. However, this place has a ton of obstacles for kids to climb on and the equipment is well maintained. All obstacles areas are separated by level of difficulty by age. It is tucked away near the coolest little town in America the town of Berlin near ocean city MD. Which is another place to visit nearby...2 minutes away. The park has two wonderful walking trails. The main trail is in the main area. It is paved and has a few different paths to take. There is also artwork by students of the local schools. The second walking trail is a bit more hidden. On the side of the overflow parking lot there is a pond with a gravel.

The park also has tennis, pickleball, and racketball courts, bodyweight workout areas, playgrounds, swings, Frisbee golf, open fields, tables, and an open pavilion.
