Lion's Club was doing funnel cake fundraiser, my wife got that. I ordered a large orange twist in a bowl. I waited in line behind 6-8 customers, the order taker window was closed. A line of 12-15 customers formed at the order window. The girl started taking their orders, the pickup window opened and all the customers ahead of me were served. I was next in line, the customers behind me were getting their orders, most were specialty items. After 6-10 customers behind me were served I asked the order taker for a refund. My wife had finished the funnel cake and ice cream by that time. My guess is that my order didn't get written on the sheet they use. I like their products, the portions are generous.    Read moreIce cream lovers, listen up! The countdown to the summer opening of this place is equivalent to the countdown to Paris’ Fashion Week. (You think I’m crazy but hang around this area in early spring…) And with good cause. I L-O-V-E this ice cream. It is so smooth and creamy! I try something different every time we go. And we go A LOT. It’s my mom’s fav as well. ;)
The lines can get long but these girls are quick! The owner hires school kids and she must be fantastic because I have never encountered anything less than excellence when we’ve visited. (We visit every week!) Tip these girls! They are making it happen.

   Read moreLiterally the place everyone local and at times far away comes for ice cream. The hot spot for teams after games and events too, so it does get busy. Busy means the best though. They are very quick with getting orders out, so don't be afraid of 20 people deep lines. The best flavors and the best options already on the menu. We love this place and frequently stop just for snack, lunch and even dinner (who says ice cream is not a perfect choice for a meal). They team up with the local lions too, so thats a double hot night. Who doesn't like funnel cakes with a scoop or two...
