Ozark Cafe — Restaurant in Berryville

Initially I assumed this restaurant was just another location of the Ozark Cafe in Jasper, Arkansas (which is fantastic), but that can't be true, as they are worlds apart in every other aspect.

I ordered the Breaded Mushrooms appetizer and not only were there just a handful of little mushrooms, but the accompanying Ranch dressing that was brought out to my son and I was literally a bottle of Great Value (Walmart brand) dressing. Yes, the entire lukewarm bottle. I ordered a salad, which was pitiful, and my son ordered a burger, which he said was unseasoned, so greasy it made the bread soggy, and was served with fake (American) cheese. Down home country dishes ar their finest. Ham, steak , mashed potatoes and peas. Fried chicken light and crisp. Not greasy or soggy. Hot and juicy with an excellent batter. Ordered and 15 minutes it was ready. Fresh Cole slaw with a great dressing. Breakfast v severed until 10:45 am. Pancakes, eggs and hash browns.. This is a true country dinner. Prices are low for the quality and quantities of food. Every item was served was excellent. Get there early as the place fills up fast. Seat yourself. The food was so wonderful! We made a quick pit stop while handling business instead of making the trip to Eureka. I was delightfully surprised. It made me feel like I was in my Papas kitchen and brought all the warm feels. Friendly staff, fast service, clean atmosphere. I had the daily special and so did my husband. I would assume all of the specials are top tier because we both left feeling like we’ve never been more satisfied!! Just wish I had room for some cobbler! May have to make a special trip just to try it another day!...
