Second time I have been here and consistently good food in a nice restaurant. I do recommend making reservations and they seem to fill up quickly. They have a bar area and a dining room. We were seated in the dining area which is very comfortable and pretty well lit. We arrived around 5:30 but they turn down the lights at a certain point and it's a bit darker than I would prefer. They have a large drink selection and some craft drinks. I like Old Fashioned drinks but you need a quality bourbon; they use Four Roses and they make an amazing Old Fashioned so I would assume the rest of their drinks are good. They have a good list of appetizers; we have tried the deviled eggs and those are very good. This visit we tried the Spinach Artichoke Dip and the Bruschetta. Warning: the Spinach Artichoke Dip is big enough for four people. Our server told us we would likely take some of it home which in fact we did do. However, for both the dip and bruschetta, the pita chips and bread were very stale/old. We even asked for some fresher bread for the bruschetta and our server only brought out more of the same. It's amazing that such a nice restaurant would serve stale/old bread and pita chips. And the pita chips weren't crispy as would have been preferred with the dip. The bread that came with the bruschetta was stale. So unfortunate because the sides themselves were quite good. For a starter, we had a wedge salad; like the starters, this is quite big. It comes with plenty of blue cheese dressing and it was very good. For our entrees, we both ordered the Filet Mignon medium rare. This is my second time dining here and my second time having the Filet Mignon medium rare. It isn't. What I was served both times is medium... borderline medium well. I didn't say anything the first time I ate here but this most recent was with someone different and the first thing they said when cutting into the steak is "this isn't medium rare". There is absolutely no pink center so whatever you normally order, go one less. It would be interesting to see how the steak would come out if ordered rare instead of medium rare. It's unfortunate because the beef seems to be quality meat. For sides, we had the marinated and grilled mushrooms and asparagus. The mushrooms were a big disappointment. They didn't taste like fresh mushrooms but rather something out of a can. But they came marinated in a dark gravy type of sauce. I have never had mushrooms served any other way than marinated in garlic butter with possibly a bit of white wine. But these small pieces of mushrooms instead of fresh cremini mushrooms either sauteed whole or sliced in half. The grilled asparagus was excellent. They have a decent dessert menu and we had the 3-layer chocolate cake which was more than enough for two people. Really nice restaurant but disappointing with some of the ingredients such as the bread and pita chips not being fresh, over cooked steaks (twice) and a dark gravy used for "marinated" mushrooms. But, I do still recommend this restaurant. It is quite a nice restaurant but you can come fairly casual.

The atmosphere is stunning with the dark wood and leather decor, we were hopeful the service and food would be as impressive. Unfortunately it was not. Our server, Jackie, was slow to come to our table from the very start, even though the place had only a couple of other small groups dining. Our only drink order also took an unusually long time to arrive. The drinks were the highlight of our brunch, as they were very good. We patiently sipped our drinks and waited for our food. Fifteen minutes after ordering, Jackie came back to tell us they were out of smoked salmon for my wife’s eggs benny. She settled for the ham instead and we waited about another 15-20 minutes while we listened to Jackie carry on a lengthy 10 minutes plus conversation with an older gentleman who appeared to be a regular. When we finally got her attention, she seemed concerned we hadn’t gotten our food yet. She walked to the kitchen and immediately returned with our food. I mentioned I was concerned the food had been sitting for a while and she assured us it was “just recently ready”. My wife’s eggs were not even warm, and she couldn’t eat it. My “ribeye” burger was warm but underwhelming, and I seriously doubt that was ground ribeye. After expressing my displeasure with the service Jackie became very rude, probably realizing she was unlikely to get much of a tip, which she didn’t.

Had high hopes for this place, but the service was slow and eventually extremely rude, food was subpar and not worth half of what they charge. Hopefully they get some real management and Jackie receives some real training and this place could be a great brunch spot. But if that’s the best they can do, they shouldn’t even...

Awful experience ! Pretentious… poor service and the open window cooking let us view our steak being plated bare handed. Fail ! After an hour of only receiving our appetizer and one drink we asked about our meal. Watched the waitress ask the chefs through the open window concept and viewed our steaks being plated with bare hands. Macaroni and cheese appeared dry and run of the mill, our other side was not even ready. Not only was this the case but the waitress rolled her eyes when we asked for management! We refused the meal completely ( so I can’t criticize that ) and anything further and paid for the drinks and the deviled eggs that took 30min. The deviled eggs were bland and nothing your mom couldn’t make 10x better ! And they wouldn’t have cost 9$ for 5 halves and a handful of micro greens and sprinkle of paprika ! Beautiful restored building with bar and dining area. The concept is great but you are clearly unable to serve to the caliber that your menu and prices let your patrons believe they will get !!! 44$ for a rib eye. No side orders come with , you must order those separate and were told at that time charge for sauces ! ( we didn’t ask ) If your steak is great we would not need any ! You’re not that STEAKHOUSE ! Chincy at best ! In the end you’re certainly not delivering what you portray in concept in food or service. Your kitchen staff is plating with their hands and wiping them on their pants after !!! Abd your waitresses are rolling their eyes at patrons. Your standards don’t match, Standard ! Keeping up the appearance but lacking in quality for sure ! So very...
