Plush Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Bessemer

So it's not that I disliked the place. The atmosphere was amazing. Definitely a VIBE!!! The food was not good. My friend and I had the steak and eggs. The steak was full of fat and not trimmed. I didn't like that I had to place 3 different orders for 3 different things with 3 different people!!! My friend and I walked into the place, paid $5 for entry (awesome price, no complaints) walked to the back for seating, found a spot and waited at our table for a waitress, no one came. Finally asked the ladies sitting next to us and they directed us to the bar. Keep up with me, went to the bar in our seating area and was told we had to go back out to the front bar to get a giant mimosa 😒. Ok cool, went to the front bar to order the mimosa, hookah, and food. Whew! So boom, got the drink ordered and was told we had find a girl with a pink fanny pack on to order a hookah (ikr) and had to go to the other side of the bar to order food through another person. I've never patronized at a place and had to do all the leg work to get what I'm paying for. So, fast forward we get the drink pictured, as I watched her prepare it I was looking crazy. Not even half a bottle of champagne in the drink!!!! It was full of ice, fruit, and juice!!! For $50 I expected more alcohol. After the bartender fixed this humongous drink, I had to carry it to my table. Like bruh🤦🏽‍♀️ I got to pay for it and deliver it to myself🤣!!!! At the table with this big drink, waiting on food that we ordered which was $17 by the way..... and was told we had to go get it from the bar!! Again, had to deliver what I paid for to my own table. Lastly the hookah experience..... the young lady never came around to our table. So I eventually got up and went to the front bar to ask why so long and was told it's a whole different group and I needed to ask someone else. I FINALLY found the girl and placed an order. 25 minutes later the hookah arrived (oh yea it was already one on our table, just needed the tobacco and fire).

My point is the service was HORRIBLE and it needs better organization. This place has the potential to be big and awesome. The DJ and the vibe definitely compensated for the lack of service. So just be careful of what you order. I'll definitely visit again because maybe it was just an off day but I was not comfortable with spending so much money for the...

Response to the owner: I could never be paid to come in there. I told my husband no but we were trying not to drive to Birmingham. He ordered the same drinks i ordered, sir maam maam sir! Nor did you acknowledge the good things i stayed about your dried up spot is crazy to me. Sometimes just be professional and take the good. I always have time! I sleep and get paid! There was a concert there that night FEBRUARY 28th. Up and coming out artist. They did great all of them. The lady with the short blonde hair was bomb!!!

6/10 Bar food nothing special. Lemon pepper and sweet chili wings big and gummy. Oil grease needed to be changed. Fries were less than fries lol.

3/10 The shrimp was just some small shrimp fried in old grease NOT JUMBO.

0/10 drinks long island and amaretto sour no alcohol at all. At all definitely a cover up. I suggest getting a shot however the price subject to change. I paid $18 for 2 shots my husband was charged $30 for 2 wth. I told him DO NOT purchase another one and let him drink my second shot. Bartender not friendly at all and suspect.

6/10 We had a decent time for 2 out of towners. It's not a oh let's go back but if we can't find anything we might pop in and drink and eat before we get there. Very smokey.

not super impressed, the shrimp and grits were good, nothing crazy, and there was a hair in it. i imagine that doesn't happen all the time, but it was a bad first experience to say the least

Response to the owner: I got it delivered by doordash and the order was refunded, but there was definitely one thick, short, scraggly, black hair that looked like it came from a black man with a beard. I would come back and try it again but i feel like if i had any complaints they would be "so called" grievances, that are hard to believe because of various excuses. It sounds like you're trying to say that it was my hair, or that it didn't happen, but i don't have hair that looks like the one i described, and it would be pretty wild to assume that anyone would write a negative review just to write a negative review.
