Seaside Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Bethany Beach

Avoid. Waitress was confused about the difference between Coke and Pepsi. Thought that was straightened out, ordered Coke and got Pepsi. Both salt (from a disposable grinder...dear restaurant industry, please stop this... it's too coarse to be used at the table) and pepper were empty. Asked for more, never got it. "Hot dog" was more of a sausage. Waitress explained that they ran out of hot dogs and someone went to the supermarket and bought a substitute, so, I don't know, they don't know what a hot dog is? Chicken tenders were barely warm, clearly frozen, probably oven heated, not fried. Same for the mozzarella sticks...not even melted. Tried to order apps and entrees at the same time and were told by the waitress, "I have a 15 year old running the kitchen, so better not to order them together or he'll get overwhelmed." Um, exfarkingscuseme? Fries were good. Ketchup was labeled Heinz, but sure as hell didn't taste like it...

This place has great food, the service is great even when they are crowded, which is often. If you choose to come here, you will probably have to wait for a table for at least 15 minutes. The food does take awhile to come out but that’s okay with me and my family because the food is fresh and we enjoy the atmosphere. The only complaint I have are the flies and full trash bags were piled up behind the bar by the fence, near a seating area. It was great to see the manager helping her waiting staff, a true sign of a good manager. Served right away when walking up to the bar, even though they were busy, as well. The young man, who I assume is a host was going above and beyond, making sure all finished dishes were cleared of the table and drinks were filled. Thank you and I hope the future holds a lot of growth for this...

9/9/23 Not worth it! Decided to give it a second chance from a couple years later- Mistake. Totally not what we expected tonight. Server was very nice. Beers were NOT cold at all. Fried shrimp was hard and nasty. Caesar salad was ok. Lettuce wasn’t cold. Music wasn’t as good as expected and this was the main reason we attempted. NEVERMORE!

Horrible service. We are very patient going out but This place was way better during COVID- With very few customers this visit would have expected staff to be more attentive. NOPE! Bar attendant was chit chatting to coworkers away from the var area & not paying attention to the her bar customers - I mean there were only 3 of us sitting there. Food wasn’t near as good as we’ve had on several previous occasions. Not sure what happened here but for now...
