Posted This for Bruce Thompson: I have been a customer of Country Corner(CC) since shortly after it opened in the summer of 2000. The establishment sometimes bills itself as a diner, and other times as a restaurant. Both descriptions are correct as there is a section with a counter and floor-mounted swivel stools, and adjacent booths, a la diner; there is also a much larger, nicely decorated restaurant section with table seating and booths along the walls. In warmer weather, outdoor dining on a deck is available, which I have never experienced. There is also take-out and Grubhub (whatever that is). I eat there whenever I'm too tired to cook or I can't bear to eat another meal of my own making. Aside from its convenient and easy to access location, its friendly owners and staff, and pleasant unpretentious atmosphere, what keeps me coming back is the food. It's super good, no-frills homestyle cooking and worth elaborating on. Although CC offers a full breakfast menu that is available all day (it's worth noting that a jug of real maple syrup--the stuff that comes from trees-- sits on every table in the place), a wide variety of lunch items such as sandwiches and wraps, I typically go for the stick-to-your-ribs items on the Specials menu. Over the years as best as I can recall, I've had meatloaf, Yankee pot roast, and more recently, fish 'n' chips. All those meals were generously portioned and freshly prepared using ingredients that nutritionists refer to as "Real Food". I've been fortunate to have Thanksgiving dinner there as well as two St. Patrick's Day corned beef, cabbage and boiled-potato specials. The Thanksgiving organic turkey was moist and tender, and the various sides were delicious-- I was impressed that the authentic mashed potatoes were slightly lumpy. The corn beef had me thinking that there's corned beef, and there's 'Country Corner Corned Beef'. They take it to another level. I've also had Mother's renowned chicken pot pie with gravy and corn chowder, and a separate meal of stuffed cabbage. Those last two hit the menu on Thursday and are worth marking your calendar for, or leaving work early. They go fast for a reason. I almost forgot the beverages. There's the usual coffee, tea, soda, juice and milk. Also available are a limited selection of beer, wine, and mixed drinks. Fortunately, CC does not impose a service charge, it accepts credit cards, cash of course, and encourages tipping , which is shared among the staff. As far as I know, Country Corner does not have a motto, but if it did, it most likely would be Quality Always, Zero Indifference. Folks there care. There's nothing on the menu that I would have qualms about ordering. I figured out a while back that no matter what, it's gotta be good, it's Country Corner. I guess it's obvious that I highly recommend CC, as most surveys typically ask, I am highly likely to go there again and recommend it to jy friends, and...
Read moreAny comment on the quality of the food or service is moot because the people that run this establishment are sociopaths. They will treat you like an old friend every time you walk in....as they willfully charge you 40% more than what you should have paid. This is NOT an error that happens once or twice by chance, but rather a sustained pattern of exploiting customers. We experienced it firsthand multiple times and it is truly unfortunate to see so many other reviewers were likewise preyed upon. Look at the other one star reviews- see a pattern in complaints about the dishonest pricing? That is not a coincidence!
The owners will inevitably play victim in their reply, just as they have insulted so many other reviewers who took the time to appropriately note their dishonest practices. There will be some line about how I am unfairly criticizing their fragile "small family business" and claim that any check issues were simply "small discrepancies", right before they go on a tangent about how "COVID was difficult" for them. Lies upon lies.
The owners of Country Corner have clearly mastered the art of "crybullying" where they shamelessly betray their own customers and then magically turn into victims when said customers complain!
You intentionally overcharged my father (who is a very generous tipper) and myself countless times and always lied about the "fresh squeezed" orange juice that you poured out of a carton. The amount of disrespect you have shown to some of your most loyal patrons is perhaps only matched by the amount of money you have...

If you're looking for not just a meal but a genuinely heartwarming experience, Country Corner Restaurant is an absolute must-visit. This family-owned gem is run with love, passion, and an incredible dedication to great food and hospitality.
From the first spoonful of their onion soup, I knew I was in for something special. Rich, savory, and topped with the perfect layer of melted cheese, it was pure comfort in a bowl. The calamari was light, crisp, and wonderfully seasonedâclearly made with care and attention to detail. But the showstopper was the shrimp scampi over angel hair pastaâtender, juicy shrimp in a silky garlic butter sauce, perfectly paired with delicate pasta. Every bite was a dream!
What truly makes this place shine, though, is the beautiful family behind it. Chef Mo is clearly a master in the kitchen, crafting dishes that are as delicious as they are soulful. His sister Qazi is the warm, welcoming face that makes you feel right at home from the moment you walk in. And their kind-hearted mom, the matriarch of the kitchen, pours her love into every dish. You can taste the passion and heart they put into their food.
Dining here feels like being invited to someoneâs home for a special meal. It's rare to find a place where you feel this well-fed and truly cared for. I canât wait to come backâand bring more friends to share in the experience.
Highly, highly...
