Delicious! 😋 Great service and food was great! So was the spicy watermelon margarita! They have a late night happy hour on weekends, definitely something to check out for apps and drinks...they didn't skimp on the alcohol either in the 1/2 price house margs! The drowned burrito was awesome esp. with al pastor (there's is better than any place I've ever had) and the carnitas tacos were yummy too, and make sure to get the queso and tomatilla salsa! Totopo and Tocayo are the best Mexican restaurants in the Burgh today, by far! I probably would continue to go to Totopo more because it's a little more reasonably priced, no charge for chips and salsa, etc. and similar menu, but the one thing I've always been bummed about is you don't get to mix and match tacos. At either Tocayo location they allow you to do this, but I noticed you only get 2 tacos not 3.

Dear Tocayo, My daughter and I absolutely love your vegetarian burritos! Whether we have them naked or covered in queso, they are always delicious. The variety of fresh vegetables is fantastic and everything blends together so beautifully and everyone I've brought along has raved about the steak burritos and the side salad with homemade dressing. Your guacamole and queso are also highlights. The guacamole portion is a great size for 3-4 people, freshly made, delicious, and worth the price. During happy hour, the queso being half off is a fantastic deal, and the warm chips are always a nice touch. Our vegetarian burritos are a great value at $13.00, and the steak burritos at $16.00 are also excellent. Everything tastes incredibly fresh!

I ordered the combo burrito and quesadillas (chicken) but when it came back I got a taco filled only with chicken and topped with a tomato sauce so sweet it ruined my appetite. A big negative Issue I had with my food was the “chicken” meat , as it tasted a bit stale and gamey akin to that of turkey. The beans and rice were ok and stander. Tres leches cake to wash off that terrible “chicken” was great. Wished they had additional flavors instead of plain white vanilla cake. Would not recommend or come back, close enough but still not Mexican enough for my taste.

The food had no flavor and was over priced. I got the Cauliflower portobello tacos. They were piled too high with mushy “roasted” veggies that were clearly sautéed and not grilled or roasted. And they may have forgotten the seasoning. I asked about the soup, I was told it was a Mexican green soup, (no name told to me), so I asked if it had meat. The server said no. Great! Anyway, it was chicken pozole. He said to me when I mentioned the chicken “well, it has no meat”. I give him a few stars because he was friendly and apologetic, and said he’s new. I recommended to him in the future to tell someone, who has ordered a veggie dish, that the soup has chicken, especially when asked. This situation to me is a frightening example of the lack of concern management has to ensure their employees are educated and have the tools to succeed. I would recommend to not go there if you have a food allergy or a strict diet, or want food with flavor.

My husband had the chicken chimichanga, which he said was fairly dry and also lacked seasoning.

Also, we enjoy Totopo so much and were sitting there, so very disappointed, saying we should have gone there. We had no idea they are affiliated until leaving, and are very upset, Totopo may never...

Heard good things about this restaurant. Got there and there was an hour wait to be seated. Ok fine we will wait.

Once we were sat down it was over an hour before we got our main entrees. We had to ask the server to order our meals. I don’t know why they just wouldn’t take our order like they do at any other restaurant. We ordered chips and guacamole and it never came. We asked the server 2 times about it and the manager once. They brought out a side of guacamole which isn’t what we ordered after we received our meals which again was over an hour after we placed the order. We sent it back. We each got 1 refill on our drinks and had to watch as every table around us got their food (appetizers and entrees) in under 20 minutes. Nothing was done to fix the situation and the fact that they are having these kinds of problems after only being open for 2 weeks is a huge red flag.

The food was average at best. Certainly not worth a total wait time of 2 hours. Overpriced and generic.

I would not recommend anyone to eat here and I personally will never be returning. This was the worst service I have received at a...

Was there on a Friday night, it was very busy. We did not have to wait long to be seated.

I ordered the drowned burrito (steak) and my girlfriend ordered chicken fajitas. My burrito was pretty good, but was definitely not drowned in enough quest. Definitely plenty of rice, peppers, and onions in it. I tried some of the fajitas and the chicken was pretty amazing.

Of course I tried the tres leches cake, I love tres leches. Theirs did taste good, but could have used more milk in the bottom of the dish that the cake sat in. Also if anyone has a nut allergy, it does not contain any nuts in the ingredients. We actually asked them before we ordered the cake and they actually went and did the research from where they ordered it from and gave us an honest answer. I respect that so much, shows they take food allergies seriously and care about their customers!

And their chips are pretty damn good! Nice...
