Stopped in today for a bite to eat. Just a small town diner/bar. Place was clean and comfortable. I ordered a dessert sweet tea, the Paul's Tenderloin and seasoned fries. The sweet tea is brewed in house. Very good flavor, and sweet, but not to sweet. The only negative here is that they serve drinks in Styrofoam cups instead of drink glasses/cups. The seasoned fries were good. The tenderloin was frankly, a disappointment. I seen one come out to another table and decided to try it. What I got was a pie plate size sandwich that the meat was pounded extremely thin. The breading was thick and lacked seasoning. It was so thick that the flour taste of the breading over powered any taste of the meat. It was also extremely dry.
Our waitress was amazing. Very attentive, polite, answered all questions and even gave a recommendation to one of other members of our party.
I would give them a 2nd chance next time I'm in the area, but I will not order a...
Read more1st experience we received a bag of cold, greasy, tasteless "food" that we paid $32 for. The lettuce scrap on both tenderloins were brown rib cores. The bread was soggy on the "famous" breaded tenderloin you could see the edge of outside of the bun. The onion rings were large and pleasing to the eye, but dripped of cold grease. When we were parking to pick-up our takeout order the owner was more worried about pulling up to tell us we couldn't park in the specially designated parking spot near the front entrance than to even give a common courtesy greeting of any kind. When we walked out we realized it was because that's where the owner likes to park. I realize ever restuarant has off days, but this was an all around let down for our expectations of what locals had said was a good choice. I wish them well but felt totally turned out with this establishments procedures...
Read moreTook my mom to eat here. we were the only patrons in the whole place. We waited 40 minutes for a cold cut sandwich and a cold roast beef sandwich. Don't get me wrong, they were supposed to be cold, but that's part of the reason I'm giving one star. A cold sandwich should not take that long to make. Both sandwiches were sopping wet. Gross. Oh yeah, I also ordered a Paul's tenderloin to take home. Whenever I got home and my wife opened it she found a hair cooked into the breading. 10/10...
